Apex Legends fans have a lot of new content to look forward to coming in Season 8. Respawn recently revealed Fuse, a spontaneous character who prefers improvising instead of planning, and a new 30-30 Repeater that packs a powerful punch.

The new season will also feature an Obliterated Kings Canyon, a new ranked season, and a new Mayhem battle pass to grind.
A new explosive Legend
Fuse was revealed in the latest Stories from the Outlands video, which showed his intense life on Salvo. As a child, Fuse and his friend Mags found a golden grenade that belonged to Salvonian freedom fighters. They traded the item constantly back and forth throughout their lives.
Both characters participated in illegal activities to survive. They pulled off heists, fought armed soldiers, and attempted to steal a prized belt. Fuse eventually joined the Bonecage, where he established himself as the best fighter on Salvo.
Mags and Fuse eventually went their separate ways when Fuse joined the Apex Games. Mags is against the Syndicate and was disappointed to see her friend join and eventually detonated their prized golden grenade. Fuse lost his arm in the blast and departed to make a name for himself as an Apex Legend.
Respawn has not revealed Fuse’s abilities, but fans have received a few hints. Bombs recently started dropping into the final rings in matches and cover the surrounding area in fire when shot. This is likely a tease for one of Fuse’s abilities, just like the gravity lifts that teased Horizon in season six.
The rest of Fuse’s abilities are unknown, but his cybernetic arm and love for explosives will likely be involved.
The end of Kings Canyon?
Respawn also announced how Fuse’s entrance has “dramatically reshaped” Kings Canyon but has not revealed further details. Fuse is a fan of explosives, and some of the most popular points of interest in Kings Canyon might be destroyed in Apex season 8.

Salvo’s most popular weapon, the 30-30 Repeater, is also coming in Season 8. The weapon is a lever-action rifle that deals massive damage to enemies from a distance. Respawn has not revealed the full details for the Repeater, but fans can expect another option for mid-to-long range fights.
Fans can also expect the new Mayhem battle pass, which will include Legendary skins, Apex Packs, Holo-Sprays, and other cosmetic items. Competitive players will have a new Ranked season to enjoy and prove their the best in the world.
Apex Legends Season 8 begins on February 2nd.
