The first Apex Legends LAN event of 2024, the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, kicks off on May 2. The top 40 teams from around the world have gathered in Los Angeles for a shot at winning an elusive ALGS trophy. A million dollars in prize money is also on the line. Here is everything you need to know to keep up with the tournament.

ALGS 2024 Split 1 Playoffs Schedule and Format
The ALGS 2024 Split 1 Playoffs begin with the Group Stage from May 2 to 3. Days begin at 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT. The 40 teams are split into four groups of 10. Each group will play a six-game series against each other group in a round robin. The 20 teams with the highest overall score will advance to the Winners’ Bracket, while the bottom 20 will go to the Losers’ Bracket.
The Bracket Stage takes place on May 4, starting at 1:00 PM ET / 10:00 AM PT. The bottom 20 teams from groups will play first in a six-game series. The top 10 will advance to Losers’ Round 2, while the bottom 10 are eliminated.
Afterwards, the Winners’ Bracket will play a six-game series. The top 10 teams from that will advance to the Grand Finals with bonus points based on the final standings of the set. The bottom 10 teams will meet up with the top 10 teams from Losers’ Round 1 to play the final set of the day.
Losers’ Round 2 consists of the last 20 unqualified teams. A six-game series will determine the final teams who will play in the Grand Finals. The top 10 will advance with no bonus points, while the bottom 10 are eliminated.
The Grand Finals begin on May 5 at 7:00 PM ET / 4:00 PM PT. The top 20 teams will play a Match Point format series to determine the champions. Teams must first reach 50 total points to be Match Point Eligible. The tournament ends when an eligible team wins a game. There are no limits to the amount of games or Match Point Eligible teams.
