The first international League of Legends tournament of the year, MSI 2024, begins on May 1. The top teams from each region will collide in Chengdu, China, for a chance to lift the coveted MSI trophy. With so few international events in the LoL calendar year, teams will bring their absolute best to win. Here is everything you need to know to follow MSI 2024.

MSI 2024 Schedule & Format
Stage 1, the Play-In Stage, runs from May 1 to May 5. Two matches are played daily, starting at 4:00 AM ET and 7:00 AM ET. The eight teams that do not have a Stage 1 Bye will be sorted into two groups of four. Each group will play a double-elimination bracket. The top two teams from each group advance to the next stage. All matches are best-of-three.
The second and final stage, the Bracket Stage, begins on May 7. The Grand Finals take place on May 19. Each day has one series beginning at 5:00 AM ET, with the exceptions of May 10 and 11, which start at midnight ET, and May 13, which is a rest day. Stage 2 features a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-five.
