Tournament Format

The Call of Duty League, or CDL, consists of 12 teams. The 2022 Pro-Am Classic will have 16 teams, four of which are Challengers, battling it out for a $100,000 first prize, with the total pool being $250,000.

Previous tournaments made use of double-elimination playoffs brackets, but this one will be getting a new approach. Sixteen teams have been divided into four groups with four teams each, one Challengers team per group.

The teams from the same group will play against each other once, and the top two from every group move on to single-elimination matches. Another difference is that no CDL points will be awarded in this tournament. Also, for the first time, due to the increase in teams, CDL will host multiple broadcasts that will be streamed at the same time.

This is definitely shaping up to be one of the most exciting Call of Duty League tournaments yet. A lot of fans have been waiting for some of these changes and are hyped up, anxiously waiting to see it all unfold. Will the pros be able to wipe the floor with the rookies, or will the rookies be able to usurp the vets? Be sure to tune in as the event will be streamed on the official Call of Duty League YouTube channel.
