What’s in the latest Fortnite patch? We’ve got our next update to Chapter 6 Season 4, and compared to the first Fortnite patch notes it’s a big one. What exactly happened? There’s a bunch of new collabs and even a brand new vehicle. These are the changes:
After quite a bit of build-up, Fortnitemares is nearly here with the release of the latest Fortnite update! This year, a major Fortnite KPop Demon Hunters collab is taking over the first half of the event. We’ve got new skins in the shop and a brand-new version of Horde Rush.

The biggest part of the latest Fortnite update is the KPop Demon Hunters collab. This is coming as skins, but also a new mode. The Horde Rush mode has launched alongside the collab. The mode will be around until November 1st, so until the season is over.
Elsewhere, there’s been more big changes to Battle Royale. Epic has essentially vaulted all of the seasonal mechanics. Bugs and other features are being removed from Battle Royale, so the gameplay loop of grinding your level is mainly being removed.
So, it’s back to basics. Given how unpopular this season has been, not the worst news. While it does mean a lot of the seasonal content is gone early, very few people were actually enjoying it. We’re getting more content for Fortnitemares arriving soon too. Which should plug the gap. With this kind of structure for the season, we’re getting an event that’s different enough to feel like a whole new season for the final month.
The schedule for Fortnite OG has been changed around with the latest Fortnite update! It’s. launched a little early. Players can jump into Season 6 now in Fortnite OG. You still get the extra day to claim the old Battle Pass rewards though.

Lately Battle Royale has been a bit quiet. With the latest Fortnite update, that’s changing. We’ve got some new content in Battle Royale instead of just unvaulting old weapons! It’s a boss transformation. Not exactly the best thing to see in the latest Fortnite patch notes. But it does give a few players each game something different to do. These are all the major changes:
The biggest change with this update is the Megazord. We’ve known about this for a while, since the update got delayed. It’s finally here today though. It works pretty similarly to old boss transformations. Again, there’s a Medallion for taking out the boss too.
There’s also a brand-new Pistol to patch the Blade Blaster Pistol. This is great for shooting at the boss and resembles a literal toy. It’s got theming with the Power Rangers.

Along with the other changes, a new event is coming. On September 20th, Battle Royale’s weapons will see a major change. Players will only be able to find the Blasé Blaster Pistol. Nothing else will be in the loot pool for a whole hour.
The new Fortnite mode goes live with this latest update! It’s a mode which is out a day early for some, and live for everyone over the weekend. It’s Battle Royale with Proximity Chat. So teaming is fine, and you can negotiate your way out of fights.
One part of the latest Fortnite update that’s a bit confusing is the cars. They’re either nerfed or broken. No one is quite sure which.
Right now, cars have had a big change. They can no longer boost, and it seems switching seats to heal is broken too. The latest Fortnite update is going to mean that cars are much lower-powered. It could be a balancing change, since players do over rely on cars. Especially in Zero Builds. However, it could just be a bug. It isn’t really clear yet.
Minor POI Change
The tunnels under the mountain have been a nice feature this season. The one under Canyon Crossing has had a major change. It’s now a large underground hive. The bugs were supposed to be dying off, but it seems there still having an impact on the map.

Finally, some of our last Battle Pass cosmetics are now available. The second style for the Megazord is now available. It’s a Black and Gold version. If you’ve been running the Megazord skin this will give you another option. Players just have to level up a decent bit to unlock it. The Megazord update next week will make the character into a boss on the map too.

The latest Fortnite update has hit the game! It isn’t a huge update with a ton of different features, but there are a handful of smaller changes here. There’s a really OP item that’s come back to the game after a long absence. Along with big map changes, with the bugs that have dominated this season getting cut back to size. These are the big changes:
The Fortnite Shockwave Hammer has been unvaulted in the latest Fortnite update! This item was around in Chapter 4, for just a single season. It’s fantastic mobility, letting you bounce endlessly around the map. It was vaulted after C4 S1, and has only briefly been back for a single week since. It’s definitely fun to play around with it again.
One thing to keep in mind is the Shockwave Hammer is some of the most effective mobility we’ve had. You can carry multiple, so the cooldown isn’t a massive factor. You’ll have to factor this in if you’re trying to chase players across the map aster the last Fortnite update.
The bugs that have been around all season are being repelled. The bigger types of bugs are now weaker. The O.X.R Outposts will no longer have their swarm emergencies either. This means less bugs bothering players in matches. But it also means a bit of a different meta.
There are a few elements of this season which are made a lot easier by fighting off the bugs. You get special loot for destroying the outposts. Plus, a much bigger level up for your rank. This makes the bugs the easiest way to rise up the O.X.R Rank and get more loot from that. With fewer bugs, this is going to be a lot harder. You’ll have to be a bit more creative with how you level up with this update.
There’s a brand new Fortnite update today! Right in time too. So far, the season has been kind of weird. We’ve had tons of bugs, with players locked out of the game quite a bit. Matchmaking errors, not to mention hotfixes for completely broken weapons. We’ve even had the Medallions removed over the weekend. But now there’s a real update, with new content at last! What’s happened in Fortnite today?

The first Fortnite patch notes of the season have brought in the Bonus Skin! Players can now unlock the Bonus Skin by levelling through the pass. It’s a Megazord skin to match the Power Rangers ones in the pass and shop right now.
The current Fortnite update hasn’t been big on in-game changes, but a new choppa is coming. It’s called the Hammerhead Choppa. It’ll add some more mobility to the season, now that the hotfix removed the Shockwave Launcher.

Also in today’s Fortnite update patch notes is Gorillaz and a new Squid Games skin. Gorillaz are the featured artist for the new Festival season. Squid Games are adding the Front Man skin to the game which completes the set.
A few weeks ago, Duos Expert Mode debuted! It was a way to play OG, where players could get fewer bots. It didn’t really work at first. Expert mode still had bots, but it did improve. Now it’s gone again. So we won’t be able to play without SBMM anymore.
After some Fortnite leaks, the One Punch Man collab is finally arriving. They’ll be three different skins and some extra cosmetics. These are the items:
The new Fortnite update is here, this time it’s introducing the Fortress of Solitude POI! It’s the Superman themed map locale that was part of the last patch notes, but took a little while to actually come into the game! Now the last patch has settled, players are still trying to grab a Superman transformation, we’ve got some new features. Along with some fresh collabs in the game’s files too. These are the changes in the latest Fortnite update:

The big part of the latest Fortnite patch notes is the Fortress of Solitude POI! It’s a new spot on the outskirts of the map. A giant building made of ice to match Superman. It’s probably not going to be a game changer for the landing spot meta. But it’ll be actually activated in the game pretty soon.
Blitz Royale was a new mode for summer which initially came with a time limit. But we’ve seen its run extended! The ultra-fast paced Battle Royale is sticking around a bit longer. We’ll get a few new weekly themes to keep things interesting too. These are the new weeks you can expect in Blitz Royale:
We’re not entirely sure what that final week is going to mean for the game. But it looks like we’re getting more popular content back like the Void Mask. Players will also get the Blitz Axe pickaxe for logging in around the time of the final week.

The Close Encounters LTM has been added back in. This week be a limited time mode, something a little different to try out.
Finally, the files for Fortnite have been updated. Which means leakers have a ton of upcoming Fortnite collabs to reveal! These are the new collabs coming according to leaker ShiinaBR:
The Fortnite summer break is finally over! We’ve received our first patch in a few weeks. Enabling a key piece of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3. Superman is here! Players can get the powers of Superman in Battle Royale. Plus, there’s some other changes like a brand-new POI.

Rather than being a Mythic on the map, the Superman powers are in the game as a boss transformation. Just like the Godzilla one recently. Players can collect a Superman crystal to turn into Superman. They get the power to fly, use heat vision to destroy buildings, and superhuman strength. It’s a bit overpowered. The rest of the lobby will have to work to take you down. If defeated, you pop back up on the map as a normal player.
It’ll be competitive to get the Superman transformation, but hopefully everyone gets a shot before the season ends in August.
A brand-new POI is coming, the Fortress of Solitude. The large ice structure is located on the outskirts of the map. Hopefully, it helps to break the balance of the season where only a handful of landing spots are worth heading to. There’s some NPCs there selling services, which could help to set players up for the rest of the match.
A handful of new Fortnite weapons are here with this update! These are the new items players can collect in Battle Royale:
A new Exotic item. It’s similar to the standard grenades. But this one bounces around. It explodes on each bounce! So multiple explosions instead of the one you normally get.
The DMR isn’t the best Fortnite weapon this season. This exotic version might be trying to soup it up a bit. It’s an explosive DMR. Every third shot is an explosive shot. Like the old repeater rifle.
Finally, we’ve got a brand-new Boon. This one boosts your movement speed and means your sprint uses less of your energy. This one will be particularly useful at S Rank with the upgrades. It could be a game changer for the FNCS later this month.

The other big part of the Fortnite patch notes is Superman’s skin. This has been available for those who paid for early access for a while now. But players can all unlock him now. All you have to do is earn 12 account levels. Shouldn’t take too long, especially if you’re using Fortnite XP maps to level.
The newest Fortnite update has been a bit more of a surprise than normal! It isn’t a huge update; we’re waiting an extra leak for the Squid Games collab for that. But there’s been a couple of very key changes. Addressing some of the problems with the current season.
One, is bringing back the Grapple Glove in Fortnite. This is the item that’s essentially a re-skin of the Fortnite Spider-Man web-slingers. It’s a bit slower than that mythic with fewer charges, but some of the best mobility we’ve ever seen. The Fortnite Grapple Gloves are back for a limited time though. Just a single day.
It’s not clear why they’ll be so brief. They’ve had longer outings in past Fortnite seasons. It might be to cover another item that’s been removed in the same update though.

After being in the game for a few days, the Storm Beast Pom Poms are gone while an issue is fixed. At the moment, these are some clear candidates for the best weapons in Fortnite. They essentially give you a load of free health, without a drawback. Hopefully, they can be better balanced when they come back.
After being added last week, some changes have been made to Blitz Royale. Its overall XP yield has been nerfed. We’ve also seen matchmaking moved around.
With the new Fortnite update, we’ve got loads to play through. From new games to a new feature for Festival. It isn’t all good news though, a mode that’s been here since Chapter 1 is getting removed too.

A whole new game mode is here with the new Fortnite update. Blitz Royale is a new mini-Battle Royale. A mode where 32 players drop in, and try to increase their Blitz Level to get better gear. It’s a bit of a faster paced take on the Battle Royale.
The other major part of the new Fortnite update is Festival getting a new season. We’re moving on from Sabrina Carpenter with a new season focused on Bruno Mars. He already has a skin in the game, but there will be new versions of Bruno Mars available in the Festival Pass and the Item Shop now too.

The new Fortnite update hasn’t enabled a brand new collab in the item shop rotation just yet. But we’ve seen a bunch of new skins added to the files. Fortnite leakers have found some particularly exciting ones like Squid Games. We’ll be getting skins of the iconic guards, as well as some of the characters in their trademark green jumpsuits.
One of Fortnite’s oldest modes has been removed, Team Rumble. To make room for Blitz Royale this has been taken out of the game entirely.
It’s a mercy killing. Epic has been neglecting Team Rumble to the point that its player count was very low. It took weeks to even change its weapons over after the last Chapter ended. Its new faster pace had also made it useless for completing quests, which was its main function. Some players will likely miss it, but with its poor support lately it was inevitable.
The big change with the latest patch won’t affect people jumping into the game in most regions, but it has enabled the game in a new area. Korea is getting Fortnite on their domestic App store, One Store. This will mean it can be played on mobile devices here too. Starting with Chapter 6 Season 3, the potential player base is expanding even further.

A new collaboration with a Korean brand is coming to celebrate this expansion. The game will give out a glider, the colorful skirt glider, to players who access Fortnite at Nexon PC Rooms. A nice bonus for people trying out Fortnite through the chain.
This will be accessible for quite a while. It’s running through until September 15th. It’s not quite a free Fortnite skin, but it’s a nice bonus.
A new Icon skin is coming as part of the big rollout of Fortnite in Korea. We’re going to be getting Seo Heung-Min as an icon skin, the South Korean soccer player. They’ll be arriving really soon. According to the announcement, they’ll be for sale from June 21st to 28th. This skin will also come with a reactive backbling and that changes depending on the time of day.
So far, we only have photos of the announcement presentation, but we do get a pretty clear look at this new skin. We’ll see their in-game model a bit more clearly once they get added to the item shop.

The latest Fortnite patch has made a handful of changes across game modes. Although, it’s largely fixing bugs and some alterations to OG.
Players utilizing the Switch 2 mouse controls have had an issue with gyro aiming interfering, that’s been fixed. Along with some random bugs in Brick Life. There’s also been a batch of Fortnite OG balancing adjustments, these are:

That’s it for live changes in the latest Fortnite patch but under the hood, there’s some extra cosmetics we thin should be arriving soon based on Fortnite leaks. One of these is a new car skin which can make the SUVs in-game resemble the Battle Bus!
It’s a shrunk down version which will be available as a new skin starting soon. This kind of collab has already been in Rocket League, now it’ll be in Fortnite too. It won’t give an SUV the strength of the Battle Bus when it was an actual vehicle though.
The other big change we’re expecting in the Fortnite update is for Father’s Day. Fortnite leakers think this will be when the King of the Hill Fortnite collab drops! This should be a Hank Hill skin, but also a Bob’s Burgers skin and more.
At one point, these kinds of collabs would have been bizarre news that shocked players! Now the game is already full of Godzillas, Hatsune Miku, and just about everything else though, there’s very few skins that’ll shock players. Keep an eye on Fortnite news for when these new skins get enabled in the item shop.
And stay up to date on all the latest trends in esports
