Fortnite Weapons Tier List – Best Weapons and Items

The best weapons in Fortnite can be the difference between a Victory Royale and crashing out early. As with any Battle Royale, there’s a big factor of RNG in Fortnite. But players need to know what to prioritize while looting. Which guns to pick up, and which to skip even if you find them in a better rarity. A Fortnite weapons tier list changes all the time, but there’s some clear stand outs right now.

Fortnite Weapons Tier List – Best Weapons and Items

We’re now in Fortnite Chapter 7, which means an entire new loot pool. Huge changes all over the game! But it isn’t that crazy of a departure. The models and names for the guns change, sure, but they aren’t entirely new guns. It’s essentially the same weapons, but with some adaptations. There’s always a pump, always an auto, etc.

The current loot pool is incredibly stripped back. It’s quite a simple batch, nothing all that crazy in the game. There is still plenty to prioritize when looting though. These are the best weapons in Fortnite at the moment:

S Tier – Best Weapons in Fortnite

The stand out gun of the Fortnite Chapter 7 weapons is the Iron Pump Shotgun. This is probably not a surprise. The pump is pretty much the stand out weapon of every Fortnite season. This verion isn’t as good as Chapter 6’s entry, but it’s still the best shotgun in the game. A must carry.

Deadeye Assault Rifle

Next up is the Deadeye Assault Rifle. This is the first-person assault rifle of the Chapter. It has a fast fire rate, does a lot of damage. Players can be killed before reacting if you’re stable enough aiming. It’s the better out of the two. Although, it’s more of a competition than the shotguns.

A Tier

This is the next tier down for the Fortnite weapons this season. These are all quite good still! There’s a really small loot pool for the Chapter 7 Season 1 guns, so you’ll probably be using these plenty too. These are the A Tier picks for the best Fortnite weapons this season:

  • Holo Rush SMG – The better of the two SMGs. It hits very hard and fires fast, even has a scope. Great for mid-range if you can handle the recoil, but less universal than the Deadeye.
  • Vengeful Sniper Rifle – An obnoxious weapon. For some reason, Epic has decided Snipers need three shots. This is worth using in some situations. Other times it’ll be a wasted slot since players keep closing the distance. However, it is a solid gun.

B Tier

The B Tier of the best Fortnite weapons is getting a bit worse. They can still be effective guns in the right hands, but they have a lot of downsides. They probably won’t get the most use in Fortnite tournaments. These are the picks in this tier:

  • Twin Hammer Shotguns – They might say they’re dual wield pumps, but this is an Auto shotgun with a different animation. Not as good as the Pump.
  • Forsaken Vow Blade – The melee item this season. Okay for mobility, but not great for the melee combo. They also have a worse fall damage impact than older versions of the blade.

C Tier

Finally, we’ve got the last tier of the Fortnite Chapter 7 weapons! This is just one gun. The Arc Lightning Gun.

This weapon isn’t very good. It can’t really be aimed. You just fire it towards a direction and do tickle damage to players, builds, anything. Not really enough damage

The Chapter 7 Fortnite season is returning to a smaller loot pool. Its definitely worth searching out the best Fortnite weapons. Although, it’s tricky to find high rarity loot in random spots this season. So, there might be a lot of games where the best Fortnite players just put up with green! You can still make sure you’re getting the best weapons in the game though.
