Patch 2.05 improves AFK Detection and updates AFK Penalties for repeat offenders. The penalties include warnings, queue restrictions, XP denial, Competitive queue bans, and game bans. These penalties also apply for chat-based offenses among chat restrictions.
Zero-tolerance offenses still result in automatic game bans.
The latest patch introduces minor changes to the Competitive menu. VALORANT players can toggle their Act Rank to hide it or disable it. The Act Rank is enabled by default, but players can disable it in the menu.
Players can filter the Match History tab per mode, which helps players who only want to review their competitive matches. Patch 2.05 also introduces a small ranked penalty for players dodging competitive games.
The Radiant Ranked Rating gains and losses are now “more consistent with Immortal rank rating.”
The Custom Games layout and visuals also receive an update in the patch.
Patch 2.05 left all Agents relatively unchanged. Sova and Astra received unique keybinds in the option menu for flying up and down while using the Owle Drone and flying up and down in Astral Form, respectively.
Several bugs were addressed in the patch, including a fix that prevents Killjoy from jumping and placing her Lockdown ultimate ability. Players can find a complete list of the changes in the official patch notes.
