Riot recently announced a new Agent is coming to VALORANT in the next update: the Turkish Initiator İyi Geceler, going by the pseudonym Fade. With her revealing abilities, this Agent will be the first real competitor to Sova.
In the last two weeks, there have been a lot of leaks and speculation about the latest VALORANT Agent. Twitter account ValorLeaks, who have been a fairly reputable source of information, announced Fade’s name on April 15.

And finally, on Valorant’s Masters Reykjavík on Sunday, Riot confirmed the speculation and introduced Fade for the first time. Fade will be released to the public as a part of the upcoming update, Episode 4 Act III, on April 27, 2022.
Although there is no official time yet, as we know from previous Acts, the update will probably happen at:
The game will most certainly be under maintenance, and we can expect a few hours of downtime during that period. So, make sure to complete everything you have from Episode 4 Act II by then.
Let’s take a look at Fade’s abilities and see what she can do. Of course, those abilities will probably get balanced in the upcoming updates. The Agent will be either buffed or nerfed; only time will tell, though Masters Reykjavik winners OpTic Gaming started making jokes about abusing her kit during their post-win interview.
This ability enables you to equip a Prowler which can be controlled. Once you shoot it, you can control and guide it just like Skye controls her birds. As soon as it sees an enemy, it will target that enemy, blind and deafen them. This ability has the same effect as Omen’s Paranoia. You will have two charges, though the cost of a charge is still unknown.
This ability can decay an entire team by 75 instantly. In addition to that, it will also block off their map vision. While throwing, you should aim it to the sky, and once it reaches enemies, press Q once more to drop the projectile down instantly. It will capture everyone underneath it off guard. This ability can’t be shot or destroyed, and enemies won’t be able to escape it.
Haunt is an upgraded Recon Bolt from Sova. The ability will reveal the location of all enemies in its line of sight. If the enemy starts running, they will leave a trail for you to follow. In other words, they can’t escape it even if they try to hide.
The Nightfall ultimate is too overpowered, and it will surely be nerfed. The area it affects is huge, and you can target the whole site. Anyone inside that area will instantly get decayed by 75, be afflicted with paranoia, won’t be able to see their map, and, in addition to that, they will leave a trail behind them, so you know where they are if they try to escape. The ultimate costs 7 Ult points.
This is everything we know so far about Fade thus far, but as she releases in just two days, it won’t be long until everyone can play as her. Check Hotspawn in the coming days for our Fade guide!
