After a successful outing back in January, the Thunderpick Bitcoin Series returns as a Dota 2 event, taking place over three stages between July 2nd and 31st.
The first two stages are open qualifiers, which will be taking place on July 2nd to July 3rd and July 9th to July 10th. Any North or South American team on the Epulze platform has the opportunity to compete, regardless of their skill level. The winners of the qualifiers not only secure themselves a place during the main stage, which begins on July 11th, but also a $1000 prize.
The main stage is a Swiss-format tournament that will consist of 16 teams competing in best-of-threes, including Quincy Crew, Wildcard Gaming, Hokori and Team DogChamp. Eight teams will advance to the final stage, where they will also play against two guest teams.
The Thunderpick Bitcoin Series concludes on July 31st with the grand finals, just a few days before the PGL Arlington Major. The winning team will walk away with a prize of 2 Bitcoin, with a minimum guarantee of $50,000.
