The Fates Championship features 24 competitors who will compete for $250,000 dollars in prizes. The tournament also features a new three-day Swiss format that narrows the competition as the tournament progresses.

Players from North America, Latin America, Brazil, Europe, Asia, and Oceania will qualify for the tournament in regional qualifiers. The top 24 participates will make it to the first day of the competition. The 24 players will be sorted into three lobbies based on their regional performance. The top 16 will progress to the second day of the tournament.

The 16 players will be sorted into two lobbies based on their day one performance. The top eight will progress to the Championship on day three. The final eight players will race to accumulate points, and the first to achieve 18 points will be declared the champion.

“Teamfight Tactics continues to be one of our fastest-growing titles due to its accessibility and depth,” said Whalen Rozelle, Sr. Director of Esports at Riot Games. “To meet the massive demand for organized competition, for the Fates Championship we increased both the prize pool and the number of players who can qualify for the event. We also will explore new ways to further celebrate the esport globally.”

The Teamfight Tactics: Fates Championship will take place on April 7-9.
