Of course, the first step is assembly. Like many of the DXRacer chairs, assembly is pretty straightforward for the Master Series. We assembled the chair all by myself in a matter of approximately 20 minutes. We would recommend getting some assistance in the final assembly of the top half of the chair and the base, as the upper portion is heavier than many of the chairs in the market.
The first thing you will notice, even before fully assembling the Master Series, is the microfiber leather that adorns the chair. There are plenty of chairs in the market that use various types of leather on their chairs, but the Master Series looks and feels the best. It is subtle enough to fit into any décor but crafted well enough to handle any situation.
Of course, leather chairs tend to be a little less breathable than their mesh counterparts. The Master Series is no different in that regard, as you can feel a tad moist pretty quickly on a warm summer day. Though, DXRacer also just released their Air Series, to help rectify that.
Once you get past the outside appearance, the Master Series really excels at lumbar support. The built-in lumbar support system has clearly been refined through years of experience and offers so much more than a pillow ever could. There is even a dial on the side of the chair to help adjust the lumbar support perfectly without the need to scoot and wiggle in your chair.
Beyond that, you find expert craftsmanship. The base, though often overlooked, might be the best in the industry. The 4D armrests are excellent. And the tilt functionality is smooth while offering plenty of adjustability.
Additionally, the Master Series has a modular design. This means that you can purchase add-ons for your chair. These include a footrest, a cup holder, a memory foam head pillow, a multifunction bracket and even a breathable mesh cushion if you are looking for more airflow.
The big con for a lot of people will be the price point. There is no dancing around it, you are paying for quality with the Master Series. Many people will see the $500 price tag and be immediately scared off, which is perfectly understandable.
A smaller grip is the head pillow included in the package. It looks great and it feels really good. However, unless you sit in the most optimal position at all times, you are not likely to use it. It simply doesn’t provide a lot of adjustability.
When you hear the DXRacer name, you know you are getting quality. And, honestly, the DXRacer Master Series Gaming Chair is one of the best chairs on the market. Not just gaming chairs, but including office chairs too.
Simply put, the DXRacer Master Series Gaming Chair is worth the price.
