The new season has started, which means there’s a whole new batch of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 Medallions. These Medallions are similar to last seasons in some ways, but they also give access to a ton of extra mechanics. It’s one of the seasons with some of the most overpowered loot in the game. Getting the medallions is just the start.
The current medallions are all accessible in the same way. We’re back to having multiple bosses on the map each sporting a different medallion. However, what you can get from each will vary on your POI. If you want to win games in the current update, the Fortnite medallions are key. How can you track them down and what do they do?

The new season has introduced three different Fortnite Medallions. They’re quite close to medallions we’ve seen in the past in their effect. But they’ve definitely buffed from last season. Two directly have the same effect, but with a bit of an upgrade. These are the medallions this season are where they spawn:
Those are the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 medallions. Some of these are already looking impressive for upcoming C6 S4 tournaments like the Global Championship.
The Caraspace Medallion is effectively an upgraded version of the Medallion last season. It has the same 50 auto-heal that means you pretty much permanently have free minis. But it also adds a siphon. In tournaments, where we already have a Siphon effect, it’ll make kills even more impactful. The Springleg letting you Double Jump is fantastic too, giving a noticeable movement boost.

As with most seasons, having multiple medallions will give you the best loadout. Although, they’ll be tricky to get. The landing spots with Fortnite Medallions will likely be the most competitive spots this season.

All of the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 medallions have a different home, but they do work quite similarly when you’re collecting them. Since there’s such a big NPC force on the island right now, three identical bosses call the current island home. All you need to do is take them down.
It starts by heading to one of the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 medallions spawn POIs. Probably right out the Battle Bus if you want to get them. Next, you’ll have to defeat the queen to get Fortnite Medallions.
But to even get the boss to spawn, you need to take out the bugs. There’s a health bar for the general bug population. You need to whittle this down first. The nests are the easiest spot to focus on. Destroying one takes a lot off the health bar and they drop great loot.

The bugs all over the map this season come in a few different forms, but the biggest is the Queen. These are huge versions of the bugs which will come out of the ground at those three POIs.
Once you’re in the POI, grab the loot that you need and try to take care of other players. Then, in the center, the Queen will emerge from the ground. It’s a larger version of the same bugs but with a different attack pattern. It also has a specific weak point. The undercarriage takes a bit more damage.
The Queen will come out of the ground go into an animation of spewing an attack. Get too close and it slams onto the ground. Then delves back in before rising out again. Just shoot it as much as you can while it’s out of the ground. It’ll get taken down within a few rounds. It takes quite a bit of damage each time, and isn’t much of a threat. The bugs around it can get annoying, but it isn’t a tricky fight.

Once it’s dead, you’ll be able to collect the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 medallions and Mythic weapon! But it also calls in a cache, which drops some fantastic loot too. Both are worth delving through to get a good loadout. You’ll walk out with some of the best Fortnite weapons this season.
One thing to keep in mind is that players camp these bosses. So be prepared for a fight as soon as its down. There’s usually one player at least lurking around for you to do the work for them.
