The next Fortnite live event is coming up soon! A proper one too, kind of. It’s a Fortnite OG live event. Although, the Ice King event will be a bit more interesting than the Power Hours we’ve had lately. Sessions where an item has a higher spawn rate… for an hour. Something apparently important enough to have a countdown in the game. If you’ve grown numb to Fortnite countdowns, there is finally one worth paying attention to again with the Fortnite Ice King event.

Although, the Fortnite Ice King event is a re-run of something we’ve seen before in Chapter 1. It’ll be a fresh chance for newer Fortnite players to experience the Ice King event though.
These events are a great focal point for the community. It’s a time when everyone joins the lobby at once to experience something collectively. Players have been awaiting more Ice King content in Season 7 of OG too! This is when the Fortnite live event is planned and what to expect:
Since OG returned as a full mode, it has tried its best to recreate the original experience of Fortnite Chapter 1. Which includes a bunch of the live events we saw in older Fortnite seasons too. The Fortnite Ice King event is the one we’ll see this season.

It was originally part of Season 7, Chapter 1 of the game. A time when winter was the focus and Fortnite season theme, so an Ice King event made perfect sense! It happened in 2019, January 19th. Beginning in Polar Peak. The Ice King suddenly appeared and spread a huge amount of snow over the island. It developed the Fortnite lore for the season as well as being a cool visual showcase.
The other Fortnite live event in Season 1 was a concert featuring Marshmello. The first of a few. This one is more likely to get re-ran than some other concerts. Although, compared to the story events it’s a bit more unknown. Fortnite OG might be recreating things like the Infinity Blade, but there’s no guarantee it’ll feature the concert live events too.

The Fortnite Ice King event is starting up again soon. If you want to make sure you catch it this time, it’s beginning this weekend. The live event will take place on February 15th. As usual, the Fortnite live event is scheduled for when the NA region can attend, so it’s not the best time for everyone.
This is the time it starts in different server regions for the game:
If you need to check in with where you are at any point, you can change the playlist to OG. you’ll see a live countdown going on in the background. This will tell you how long you have to wait until the Fortnite Ice King event begins.
If you miss it, that’s probably your last chance. This is already a repeat that nobody expected. It would be weird to revisit OG for a third time. Although, there were years were a second run of Fortnite Chapter 1 sounded ridiculous, so it could happen. If you do desperately want to catch the ice King event though, make sure you’re in-game for that start time.
