A whole batch of new Fortnite C6 S4 tournaments have been announced! With Epic showing off everything coming this season, that includes quite a few chances to compete. We know about the major LAN coming, but there’s going to be a whole season of events. In Battle Royale, and more in Reload or OG.

Fortnite C6 S4 Tournaments Explained

Since we’re actually at the end of the competitive season as a new BR one starts… the schedule has been a little weird lately. But C6 S4 beginning means a full spectrum of esports events. The Fortnite Shock N Awesome tournaments are a bit of a mixed bag! We’ve got the biggest FNCS event of the year, but also quite a lot of tournaments popping up to fill the gap in the downtime.

We’ve even gotten a look at a new format that might take over Fortnite esports next year! These are the new Fortnite tournaments happening this season:

The big event for this season, or the whole year really, is the FNCS Global Championship. This is the culmination of an entire year of competitive play. A LAN where all the FNCS champions from this year meet in one lobby.

The two-day event is taking place in the first weekend of September. The FNCS teams include a lot of the best contenders. While the mix of regions means not everyone makes the cut, the entire top 10 are world champion level Trios.

The event is a two-day format. Players compete in six games a day with an overall leaderboard deciding their placement at the end of it all. No requirement to win Victory Royales or anything else. Just whoever performs the best over the twelve games.

This event will undoubtably be the highlight of Fortnite C6 S4 tournaments. But we are getting an entire season of events, not just one weekend.

FNCS Divisional Cups

Just because we’re probably not getting a Major until next Chapter now, doesn’t mean FNCS Divisional Cups are going away. We’re getting some new ones for the Fortnite C6 S4 tournaments. It’s moving to a different format though.

The Divisional Cups are going to be Duos instead of Trios. Going back to Duos will be fun, Trios presented a few format problems this year and Duos is more well-worn territory.

The Divisional Cups will be running in each Fortnite server region, but there’s extra ones in EU and NAC. They’ll also be running twice a week instead of once too. These cups will help players stay in competitive from until the Global Championship.

Solo Series

Last season’s tournaments saw Solo Cash Cups removed but they’re back now. This is the Fortnite Solo Series. A new tournament series across six weeks. Your four best weeks help players qualify for the final. It’s a Cash prize tournament too.

Reload Quick Cups

A new addition, in the Reload game mode for some reason. It’s aiming to be a faster tournament. Players take part in multiple rounds, but all back-to-back.

Round 1 is three matches. After this, Round 2 sorts you into a group based on Round 1. That’s three matches where you aim for a high score. These will be cash prizes but also Cosmetics! The cash ones won’t begin until after the Global Championship though. Until then the Fortnite C6 S4 tournaments are focused on Battle Royale.

Cosmetic Cups – Fortnite Power Rangers Cups and more

Along with all the tournaments we’ve actually seen announced, there’s some Fortnite Cosmetic Cups coming too. These might not make up our normal schedule of tournaments, but they are a fun event to celebrate new skins. So far, we’ve seen events like the Fortnite Power Rangers Cups announced. We’ll likely get more as more collabs and big skins come to the shop.

Champion’s Road

Alongside the bigger Fortnite C6 S4 tournaments, Champion’s Road is going to be running as we head towards the Global Championship. It’s a collection of events, and a lot of them are cosmetic cups. But there’s also the chance to earn free Fortnite items as we get closer to the LAN. These are some of the events running:

  • Blade of Champions Cup – Cosmetic Cup for latest FNCS pickaxe
  • Axe of Champions Cup – Cup for older Axe of Champions Cup
  • Champion Surf Witch Community Cup – Cosmetic Cup for FNCS Skin
  • Icon Cups – New tournaments re-running the FNCS Icon Series Cosmetic Cups we saw in Galactic Battle

Some of these community cups will be running in Reload, and others in Battle Royale. Both modes will be receiving Fortnite C6 S4 tournaments.

Quests

This series of events will feature some quests too! An alternative way to grind XP in Fortnite, by playing tournaments. Although, the practise you need to perform in them will probably get you plenty of XP anyway. These quests will be available over Blitz Royale, Reload, OG, BR, and Ballistic. Even the CS:GO style mode is getting in on the action!

The quests give out some free cosmetics as we build towards the LAN. This is what you can unlock:

  • Victory Crown Spray – 10 Account Levels
  • Champion of the Beach Loading Screen – 20 Account Levels
  • FNCS Fighter Back Bling – 30 Account Levels
