The London Royal Ravens have signed Christopher “Parasite” Duarte as a temporary substitute player. He will take Trei “Zer0” Morris’s position. Zer0 is stuck in the UK due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
The Royal Ravens roster was prepared to prove itself as a strong competitor this season. But the COVID-19 Pandemic halted their plan. Zer0, a returning member from the 2020 lineup, cannot make it to the United States due to travel restrictions. This made the team look for a substitute, which led them to sign Parasite to a two-week contract.
Parasite is a Call of Duty veteran and 2013 world champion. He has over ten years of competitive experience and has played for dozens of teams, including Fariko Impact and FaZe Clan.
Despite his impressive record, Parasite did not find a home for the inaugural Call of Duty League season but did compete in the Challengers League. Joining the Royal Ravens for a two-week contract will mark his first appearance in the Call of Duty League.
The London Royal Ravens were a middle-of-the-pack team during the 2020 season. The team maintained most of its roster this year. Zer0’s travel restrictions placed uncertainty on how the team will perform early this season, but Parasite is an excellent substitute.
The team has been playing with Parasite for just over a week to prepare for their upcoming matches. It is unclear if the new roster will adjust and compete against other professional teams, but the team appears to be in good spirits.
The London Royal Ravens face the Seattle Surge on February 14 at The Opening Weekend hosted by the Atlanta FaZe. Zer0 will likely replace Parasite on the lineup when he is approved for travel to the United States.
