First Impression of the EasySMX Frosty Eye 2.4GHz Wireless Headset
The EasySMX Frosty Eye definitely catches your eye before you even open the box. This has a kind of lightweight frame but feels very sturdy and well built. The matte black wireless headset has memory foam ear cups with a memory foam headband.
It also has a unique earcup design, accented by its LED earcups that have a dragon eye on each side. Hence, the name Frosty Eye. The Eye also comes in blue. When the headset is powered on, the LED eyes light up and have a breathing effect. The eye-catching headphones do not require additional software for eyes to light up.
The EasySMX Frosty Eye has over-ear cups that seal in the 7.1 surround sound pretty nice. The memory foam is plush and covered with a faux-leather exterior. It’s not exactly breathable, but it’s cozy and I didn’t have any ear-sweating.
The right earphone has four easily accessible control buttons: power button, + and – volume, and the mute button. The earcups also rotate 90 degrees to allow them to lay flat. They also fold for easy storage and to help save desk space if you don’t have a headset stand.

The sound quality is pretty good for a headset at this price point. The volume’s range is pretty standard. The Volume goes high enough to not have to readjust my master volume settings and still hear well enough.
The detachable mic boom is flexible and rotates 90 degrees. The sound quality is clear, but not. My teammates said they could hear me. However, they said I sound both near and far away, which, is baffling. My voice was clear, but a bit off.
Final Say
The EasySMX Frosty Eye Wireless Headset makes an acceptable and decent budget gift for younger gamers. Though the sound quality is adequate, and the headphones are comfortable, the design can be off-putting to adult gamers.
This headset would be perfect, save for the namesake design of the Frosty Eye LED on the headphones. For many gamers, this may not be a big deal. It may even be a cool look for their setup. However, for many adult gamers, the visual design of this wireless headset could be a deal-breaker. If EasySMX builds a follow-up to the Frosty Eye, I’d like to see this same design without the dragon eyes. It would be more aesthetically viable for casual gamers.
