Fortnite has just launched one of its biggest updates, Fortnitemares! However, players are already looking ahead towards Chapter 7 and the mini season. The Fortnite update schedule shows when we’ll get to see what’s coming next for Fortnite. New seasons, mini seasons, and potentially two entire new maps in the space of a single month! Leakers are pointing towards an exciting winter for the game.

Fortnite Update Schedule for Mini Season and Chapter 7

Right now, we’re in the midst of a Fortnite Halloween event. Enabled with the most recent Fortnite update. This will last around a month, with various spooky skins and a Halloween theme for the map. Fortnitemares usually lasts a couple of weeks, and this year it’s closing out a Chapter and a season. After the event is concluded, we’re heading into a mini season. This has been one of the bigger mysteries lately. We know it’ll be Simpsons themed. But we’re not sure about how the special map will look or what items are coming.

Past that, we should be moving on to Fortnite Chapter 7. Thanks to how Fortnite stages its updates, we know the Fortnite update schedule for these major additions! This is when we’re getting the next few updates and big changes like moving to a brand-new map.

This latest leak is pointing out new Fortnite collabs that are coming soon, but confirming when major updates are coming to the Battle Royale game. Starting with the Simpsons mini season. This is beginning when the current Fortnite season ends. Then, after a month we move into Chapter 7. These are the key dates to be aware of:

  • November 1st – Simpsons mini season launches
  • November 11th – Simpsons mini season update, likely new weapons, skins, etc
  • November 29 – Chapter 7 Release Date, new map, new weapons, etc
  • December 11th – First chapter 7 update, likely Winterfest content

The first batch of these will be another mini season on the Fortnite update schedule. We had one of these earlier in this Fortnite Chapter, with the Star Wars month. That was a bit of a low for this Chapter, since we’ve seen Star Wars content for a month every year. However, the Simpsons mini season is going to be a bit bigger. We’re expecting it to launch with a new map. Instead of just getting POIs on the current map, we’re getting a whole fresh island. We don’t know much about how it’ll look yet.

As a month-long season, we won’t have a full Pass but a smaller one. Likely some interesting weapons coming too. Once that’s concluded, late November according to the Fortnite update schedule, we’re likely looking at a live event. These have closed out every Chapter for a while. So, it’ll probably be another live event to finish off Chapter 6 too.

Chapter 7 and Beyond

After that, the Fortnite update schedule is already giving us a good look at the new Chapter. It’ll follow the similar release schedule to the last two years. Debuting in early December. We get a few days to explore the new map, and likely brand-new batch of weapons. A whole different meta for the game, new best Fortnite weapons, and worst. However, within a few days the map changes majorly as Winterfest begins. We get a few weeks with extra free Fortnite skins and other presents, before the season proceeds in earnest in January.

From the Fortnite update schedule, it’ll be an interesting month in Fortnite. A new chapter is always a highlight, so keep an eye on news for early leaks about how this new Chapter will go.
