When is the Fortnite live event? As we’re approaching the end of the season, a big live event now seems inevitable. But when can we expect it? And what will happen? The last few live events have been quite specific. They’ve had a clear theme, a role to fill, and that’s what we played through. But things are a bit more up in the air this time. However, for the next Fortnite live event we might see a little more progress on Fortnite’s own story.
The next Fortnite live event is going to close out Chapter 6, it’ll be a big one. But what exactly can we expect? Fortnite live events are always a bit more of an unknown until we see them. However, between early announcements and leaks, we do get a pretty good idea of what to expect. It’ll be another event focused on a Fortnite collab, but hopefully with some more surprises. This is what we know about the next Fortnite live event and what’s coming:

The next Fortnite live event is scheduled to line up with the end of the current Fortnite season. It’ll take us from Chapter 6, into a new map, and likely see the current one go away for a long time. We’re expecting the live event to happen on the final day of the season. With a bit of downtime before the mini season kicks off.
The live event will probably be happening on Saturday November 1st. Or possibly on October 31st. But the Saturday is the more likely ending, unless Epic decides to make it a Halloween focused Fortnite live event too.
What time will it happen? We won’t get that confirmed until closer to the time. Normally it’s at around 2 PM ET, or 7 PM BST. But the times can vary. So keep an eye on Fortnite news as we get closer to the event. Thanks to leakers decrypting some of the live event files though, we do have a decent idea of what will build up to the next event.
The Fortnite live events are big occasions, they only happen once. However, we do get early peaks. As dataminers go through the Fortnite updates, they sometimes find files which are part of the next Fortnite live event. Most stay encrypted until it’s time, but we have learned some things about the next Fortnite live event:

Right now, players can find a small tree growing on the current Fortnite map. This is our teaser for the live event that’s coming! It’s a small sapling right now, but a cell-shaded one. As we’re expecting the new map to be, and the Fortnite Simpsons skins that are coming.
Dataminers have even found how this will progress. Over the coming weeks before the Fortnite season ends, we’re going to see a tree grow. On top of it is Bart’s treehouse. At the final stage discovered so far, the whole treehouse is present, with the Simpsons TV sat inside!
This probably implies the Fortnite live event is going to have a decent focus on the Simpsons. The last Chapter ending live event was largely a live concert streamed in-game. It draw big viewer numbers, but it didn’t do much with gameplay.
Since the event after was just a Death Star recreation, it’s now been a while since we actually had a traditional live event. It’ll be interesting to see what else is planned for this season.

Fortnite live events come in a few sizes. The last one we got was the Daft Punk live event, a concert. Before that, we had a “story” event in Battle Royale. Which was basically just running through the Death Star, more of a Star Wars story than anything to do with Fortnite. In the past, live events closed out the plot of a Chapter and moved us on to a new one.
It clued us in to what was happening with the Fortnite factions like the Imagined Order. However, those plot lines have pretty much been abandoned. The last island was reached just by walking through a portal at random. We can probably expect something similar this time, since there hasn’t really been any ongoing story to Chapter 6. We’ll probably arrive in the new Simpsons map at the end of this event!
Beyond that, we don’t know what’s happening. Rifts are likely, or something else to explain these new features popping up. We might even see a Simpsons character appear if they were able to secure some voice acting. Otherwise, the live event could be anything. Right now leaks haven’t said much about the actual event, just the build up. There’s plenty of room for surprises.
