With Chapter 7 now live, players are starting to look towards the upcoming season of Fortnite esports. But there’s been a delay to the FNCS calendar this time around. While we’re seeing a much-expanded roster of FNCS events in 2026, this also means the standard FNCS Fortnite season has been compressed though. It won’t be getting started until months later than normal.

All 2026 FNCS Events Calendar

The format for the FNCS 2026 tournaments isn’t changing too much, but with extra events, a whole separate LAN, and more inserted, the calendar looks very different. If you want to keep up with the FNCS calendar, this is every event that’s coming over the next season:

With Chapter 7 Season 1 of Fortnite started, we’ve gotten confirmation of how the FNCS events 2026 will work. The tournament series won’t begin in Season 1 though. Instead, it’s been delayed to Season 2. But after the March Fortnite season end date, we’ve got a packed few months of FNCS events. This is the calendar:

FNCS Major 1

The FNCS calendar for the year ahead is starting with Major 1. Which is pushed back to Fortnite C7 S2, meaning it won’t begin until April.

This tournament will be played over the course of next season, with Heats, a Play-In Stage, LCQ, and then the Major Finals. This will take place in April, so mid-season in C7 S2.

Major 1 Schedule

  • Play Ins – April 6- April 7
  • Heats – April 12, 18, 19
  • Last Chance – April 20, 21
  • Major 1 Finals – April 25, 26

Mid-Season LAN

The next event is the Mid-Season LAN. Which is being called the Major 1 Summit. This is a new addition to the FNCS calendar for the current year. It’s a second LAN, but one with important stakes. Players qualify for this international in-person event by placing high at the Major 1 online finals.

The LAN is going to see a number of Duos qualify directly for the Global Championship at the end of the year! This lets them skip half the year’s worth of competition. Although, the best Fortnite players will probably still be in FNCS Finals for Major 2 and 3. They need that rare tournament-Fortnite practise.

The LAN is rumoured to be taking place in Paris, France, but the exact details aren’t public yet. We’ll find out as we get closer to May. But the FNCS Calendar sticking to European locations for LANs makes more sense for current visa restrictions.

FNCS Majors 2 and 3

After the LAN, we have the next two FNCS Majors. These are Major 2 and 3. They will each get more teams their slots at the Global Championship at the end of the year. They’ll follow the same format as Major 1 otherwise.

The second Major is going to happen over July-August. So, it’ll be in the summer Fortnite C7 S3, with Major 3 happening in Chapter 7 Season 4. At least if the schedule for seasons over the last few years is to be trusted.

Major 2 Schedule

  • Play ins – July 20, 21
  • Heats – July 26, August 1, 2
  • Last Chance Qualifier – August 3, 4
  • Major 2 Finals – August 8, 9

Major 3 Schedule

  • Play-Ins – September 21-22
  • Heats – September 27, October 3-4th
  • LCQ – October 5-6
  • Major 3 Finals – October 10-11th

End of Year LAN

Finally, we’ve got the climax to the FNCS Calendar for this season. The Global Championship. This event is what everything in the season of Fortnite esports is leading up to. It’ll be another LAN, happening in November!

This raises some questions about the game though. For the last three years, Fortnite has moved into a mini season for November. Usually, one where we see no Fortnite tournaments happen. This year could be different, since we don’t know what’s happening yet. However, the mini seasons usually spike the Fortnite player count and it would be strange to see them discontinued. We’ll have to see what happens with the timing for the next year.

Those are all of the main FNCS events 2026, but the tournament roster is expanded this year. We’re getting a few other tournaments which are leading up to LANs, taking advantage of the different modes we now have in Fortnite. These are soe of the other highlights.

Pro-Am

The Pro-Am is a returning format from last year. That time, it did have FNCS branding but it’s difficult to argue this format really counts as an FNCS win. It’s a tournament where pros are paired up content creators. They competed in Reload in a LAN last year, but the exact details aren’t known yet.

Some people even expect the Pro-Am to arrive a little earlier this time.

Mobile Series and Reload Events

This are getting a bit expansion this year, although they don’t really align with the FNCS Calendar. The Mobile Series has already begun and will culminate in a LAN. Reload is also getting a bigger tournament later in the year too.
