The Fortnite tournament loot pool doesn’t always match what’s available in the general game. From time to time, Epic removes items from the loot pool specifically for tournaments. This is fantastic for players, since it has the side effect of making it impossible to practise in tournament realistic conditions for the majority of your time in the game!

3 More Weapons Removed from Fortnite Tournament Loot Pool

How many Fortnite tournament build changes are this in this season? Keeping track of them could mean a big difference.

There’s quite a bit of change. Since the season began, there’s been clear problems. A player even won a Performance Evaluation Cup through an exploit that let them hide in the sky all game. Predictably, we’re getting quite few items removed from the Fortnite tournament loot pool.

The specific items removed this week are just the start. The Tournament build in Fortnite always has a few changes from the base game and even ranked. This is what you can expect:

Three New Items Removed from Fortnite Tournament Loot Pool

Ahead of the next update, a few more minor changes have been made. This includes three more items removed from the tournament mode. These range from predictable, to kind of disappointing. These are the items:

Bass Boost Gloves

The key item in early C6 S3 has been the Bass Boost. Gloves that can send you flying as well as destroying builds. They’re fun but have been chaotic in tournaments. Especially the late game.

As we’re late in the game and there’s tons of players huddling in a mess of builds, the Bass Boost is ridiculously overpowered. On top of that, we’ve got an exploit that lets players fly infinitely with it. Between these problems it’s no surprise they’re gone from the Fortnite tournament loot pool.

Krypto Treats

Next is a more predictable removal, the Krypto Treats. This is an explosive item, and one that’s hard to counter if you land it right. They’ll be gone from future tournaments.

Tracking Visor

Next is one that’s a bit disappointing, but given how players were using it… this makes sense.

The Tricking Visor is the thing that sends those huge green waves all over. Marking enemies. But, in a stacked late game, it’s a mess. You’ve got green waves happening pretty much constantly making the game hard to follow. Plus, giving most of the lobby wall hacks at once was overwhelming.

There’s still the boon in there which gives info on players location, but this cuts it down a bit. It’ll make the wall hacks a bit more manageable even in those busy late games.

General Fortnite Tournament Mode Changes

Fortnite Battle Royale games typically get divided into Pubs, which is just the general mode, and Ranked. Or the 30 sub modes Epic now runs between Zero Build and their other variations. However, in terms of gameplay for Fortnite esports, the real difference is between all these modes and Fortnite tournaments.

Tournaments have a different build of the game. At one point, it was the same as in Ranked, but it has been different between tournaments and the rest of the game for a while at this point. How does the C6 S3 tournament loot pool differ?

There are changes in each season, depending on how tournament-unready the loot pool is. For example, the Marvel season had an incredible amount stripped out for tournaments. Events like the Godzilla transformation fittingly aren’t in the Fortnite tournament loot pool either. Even the permanent content in the game is different though.

No Mobility

One major difference in tournaments has always been a lack of mobility, at least most mobility items. We don’t get vehicles in Tournaments. Outside of the armored trucks, for reasons that were never clear. Good news for seasons like C5 S3, but it can be frustrating in seasons where the meta clearly has some reliance on cars for balancing things out. Shockwaves are usually missing too, but other Fortnite mobility items can vary.

For example, the Chapter 6 FNCS did see the Oni Void mask being included in the Fortnite tournament loot pool. This season we’ve lost the Bass Boost.

We have to see how each is handled on a per item basis. Another example would be the Rocket Ram, which got to stay but with a limit of 3 uses per game applied to each player. At the moment, the mobility is gone this season. There are more items coming though, which might be in the Fortnite tournament loot pool.

NPCs and Other Objectives in C6 S3 Loot Pool

A growing trend with Fortnite is to have other objectives cluttering up gameplay outside of standard Battle Royale. A rift-in island to claim, a forecast tower to unlock, and so on. A lot of these were included in tournaments and sometimes counted for extra points. However, many NPCs and services aren’t included in the C6 S3 loot pool.

In most C6 S3 Fortnite tournaments loot pool, the NPCs aren’t a part of the game. You can’t hire them. In the past, they were included, which lead to a lot of frustration as they give a clear advantage that isn’t really fair.

Bosses tend to be included. However, if their loot gets too much, they’re removed.

Those are the three items that have been removed from the Fortnite tournament loot pool. It’s a shame we won’t get to see the best Fortnite trios pop off with these weapons in the C6 S3 loot pool. However, the changes will probably make for a more appealing and balanced season of competitive.
