The FNCS Major 1 Day 1 has been interesting for all regions, but in North America Central there’s been a clear stand out. After the end of Day 1, the Trio of Ajerss, Acorn, and Pollo have established a decent lead. Heading into the weekend, Pollo and Peterbot’s trios were both a focus, after their run as a Duo last year. Now divided and on different teams, it’s been tense seeing which Trio is coming out in front.
After the full FNCS Major 1 Day 1 games concluded, it seems Ajerss, Acorn, Pollo are leading the pack in more than one way. The leaderboard going into Day 2 has them on a nearly 100-point lead. Not an insurmountable advantage, but one that’s going to mean Day 2 is theirs to lose, with a decent margin to even lose a game or two. This is an event full of the best Trios in Fortnite though. So, why has Ajerss, Acorn, and Pollo proven the stronger Trio this season?
Pollo, Acorn, and Ajerss Lead FNCS Major 1 Day 1
After all 6 initial matches were played, the leading two Trios in the tournament aren’t a huge surprise. Ajerss, Acorn, and Pollo are on top. With Ritual, Cold, and Peterbot in 2nd at 420 points, to the leader’s 512 in FNCS Major 1 Day 1.

Last year, Pollo and Peterbot dominated the FNCS, but it was Peterbot who attracted a lot of the attention. Getting singled out for his aim and skills. Although, Pollo might have been a stronger teammate, if one without the public persona of Peterbot. In the FNCS Major 1, a lot of fans have been eagerly following their performance, now on separate teams.
Pollo has been a significant part of more than one important squad in the FNCS though, and this latest lead shows he might be the best active player right now. Peterbot’s team has had strong players all round, although Cold seems to have had an off day. The squad didn’t get a single Victory Royale. But they did manage incredibly consistency. High kill games and good placement across FNCS Major 1 Day 1.
Pollo, Acorn, and Ajerss on the other hand brought in both a win and consistency. Leading them considerably ahead. There’s one change this year which might make Day Two a bit different though. In past years, Day Two counted for 1.5x the points, which made players like Peterbot’s strong second days even more important. This time, it’s just the normal same points. No Day Two can outweigh a decent Day One run as easily anymore.
With neither half of games now no longer holding such a weight, Day 1 is more important than in previous years. Which makes a 100-point lead even more significant. It might be trickier for players to close that gap up this season.

Can Anyone Push into First?
A 100-point lead is decent, but there’s six more games still to be played. There isn’t room for Ajerss, Acorn, and Pollo to take it easy even after a strong FNCS Major 1 Day 1. If the teams in the top 10 manage a few good games and a reversal for the leading trio, things could turn around quickly. We’ve seen surprising changes in other Fortnite competitive servers that have already completed their second day too.
While the lack of 1.5x points gives them a bit more margin for error. Ritual, Cold, and Peterbot especially could be capable of staging a dramatic Day two result. In the past, Peterbot has clutched up on Day two. So far, it seems strange for such a strong Trio to not get a Victory Royale in FNCS Major 1 Day 1 yet.
While the lead established by Ajerss, Acorn, and Pollo is a decent result, they’ll need to keep it up in Day 2 to secure the crown. We’ve got six more games to be played until we find the best Trio in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 and get our first teams locked in for the Global Championship at the end of the year.
