In late 2025, Valve inadvertently crashed the market for gold items by releasing an update that allowed players to do a gloves CS2 trade-up using five Covert skins. It was arguably one of the biggest CS2 skins updates ever released. We’ve put together an easy-to-understand guide to CS2 gloves trade-ups, showing which skins give which gloves when you put them into a trade-up contract.

Gloves CS2 Trade-Up Guide: Which Skins Give Which Gloves

How to do Gloves CS2 Trade-Ups

For the most part, doing a gloves CS2 trade-up is the same as a regular trade-up. There are some important distinctions you still need to know.

  • You only need five Covert skins for a gloves trade-up in CS2. For regular trade-up contracts in lower tiers, you usually need 10 skins.
  • Gloves do not have StatTrak versions. This means that you cannot use StatTrak skins in CS2 glove trade-ups.
  • The pair of gloves you can receive by doing a Covert trade-up are decided by the skins you use in pre-determined groups – this is VERY important. More on this in a moment.

With these principles in mind, it’s time to get into the nitty-gritty of gloves CS2 trade-ups.

CS2 Glove Groups

With CS2 glove trade-ups, the items you can receive are determined by the skins you put in. Gloves are separated into three groups, each aligned with the Covert skins found in their respective cases and collections. This makes it easier to work out which skins give which gloves in CS2 trade-ups.

Glove Group 1 (Glove Case & Operation Hydra Case)

Sport Gloves Hedge Maze

All of the CS2 gloves in Glove Group 1 can be found in the Glove Case and the Operation Hydra Case. They are as follows:

  • Bloodhound Gloves Bronzed
  • Bloodhound Gloves Charred
  • Bloodhound Gloves Guerrilla
  • Bloodhound Gloves Snakebite
  • Driver Gloves Convoy
  • Driver Gloves Crimson Weave
  • Driver Gloves Diamondback
  • Driver Gloves Lunar Weave
  • Hand Wraps Badlands
  • Hand Wraps Leather
  • Hand Wraps Slaughter
  • Hand Wraps Spruce DDPAT
  • Moto Gloves Boom!
  • Moto Gloves Cool Mint
  • Moto Gloves Eclipse
  • Moto Gloves Spearmint
  • Specialist Gloves Crimson Kimono
  • Specialist Gloves Emerald Web
  • Specialist Gloves Forest DDPAT
  • Specialist Gloves Foundation
  • Sport Gloves Arid
  • Sport Gloves Hedge Maze
  • Sport Gloves Pandora’s Box
  • Sport Gloves Superconductor

If you’re looking to do a gloves CS2 trade-up for any of the above options, then you’ll need to use these four Covert skins:

  • AWP Oni Taiji
  • Five-SeveN Hyper Beast
  • M4A4 Buzz Kill
  • SSG 08 Dragonfire

This is a particularly expensive gloves trade-up, as all of these CS2 skins are extremely expensive, even in Battle-Scarred wear rating. The cheapest to pick up is the SSG 08 Dragonfire, which still costs around $300 in Battle-Scarred. However, if you want to trade up for CS2 gloves with a higher float, the price only goes up to approximately $500 in Factory New. Bear in mind, that’s the CHEAPEST in Factory New.

Glove Group 2 (Clutch Case & Revolution Case)

Sport Gloves Vice

The gloves from Glove Group 2 are pooled together from the Clutch Case and Revolution Case, and can be found below:

  • Driver Gloves Imperial Plaid
  • Driver Gloves King Snake
  • Driver Gloves Overtake
  • Driver Gloves Racing Green
  • Hand Wraps Arboreal
  • Hand Wraps Cobalt Skulls
  • Hand Wraps Duct Tape
  • Hand Wraps Overprint
  • Hydra Gloves Case Hardened
  • Hydra Gloves Emerald
  • Hydra Gloves Mangrove
  • Hydra Gloves Rattler
  • Moto Gloves Polygon
  • Moto Gloves POW!
  • Moto Gloves Transport
  • Moto Gloves Turtle
  • Specialist Gloves Buckshot
  • Specialist Gloves Crimson Web
  • Specialist Gloves Fade
  • Specialist Gloves Mogul
  • Sport Gloves Amphibious
  • Sport Gloves Bronze Morph
  • Sport Gloves Omega
  • Sport Gloves Vice

There are four Covert skins from the Clutch Case and Revolution Case, which can be used to guarantee items from Glove Group 3. They are:

  • AK-47 Head Shot
  • M4A4 Neo-Noir
  • M4A4 Temukau
  • MP7 Bloodsport

Compared to Glove Group 1, the Covert skins required for Glove Group 2 are much cheaper across the board. In Battle-Scarred wear rating, all of the above skins will set you back around $30, putting a full gloves trade-up at around $150. In Factory New, these skins range from anywhere from $100 for the MP7 Bloodsport to upwards of $170 for the M4A4 Neo-Noir. This is considerably more expensive with a full trade-up for gloves, but this won’t come as a surprise to anyone.

Glove Group 3 (Operation Broken Fang Case, Recoil Case & Snakebite Case)

Sport Gloves Scarlet Shamagh

Glove Group 3 is unique in that it’s the only one that contains gloves from three CS2 cases: the Operation Broken Fang Case, Recoil Case, and Snakebite Case. Despite this, just as with the other two groups, there are 24 pairs of gloves in Glove Group 3. They are:

  • Broken Fang Gloves Jade
  • Broken Fang Gloves Needle Point
  • Broken Fang Gloves Unhinged
  • Broken Fang Gloves Yellow-banded
  • Driver Gloves Black Tie
  • Driver Gloves Queen Jaguar
  • Driver Gloves Rezan the Red
  • Driver Gloves Snow Leopard
  • Hand Wraps CAUTION!
  • Hand Wraps Constrictor
  • Hand Wraps Desert Shamagh
  • Hand Wraps Giraffe
  • Moto Gloves 3rd Commando Company
  • Moto Gloves Blood Pressure
  • Moto Gloves Finish Line
  • Moto Gloves Smoke Out
  • Specialist Gloves Field Agent
  • Specialist Gloves Lt. Commander
  • Specialist Gloves Marble Fade
  • Specialist Gloves Tiger Strike
  • Sport Gloves Big Game
  • Sport Gloves Nocts
  • Sport Gloves Scarlet Shamagh
  • Sport Gloves Slingshot

Because Glove Group 3 is comprised of three collections, there are two more Covert CS2 skins you can use to guarantee a trade-up from this selection. These are as follows:

  • AWP Chromatic Aberration
  • Glock-18 Neo-Noir
  • M4A1-S Printstream
  • M4A4 In Living Color
  • USP-S Printstream
  • USP-S The Traitor

From this selection of skins, the M4A1-S Printstream is a total price outlier, and should be avoided for any gloves CS2 trade-up. Its Battle-Scarred Variant starts at around $175, making it more expensive than the Factory New version of most of these skins. For a BS glove trade-up, you can use anything besides the M4A1-S Printstream. At higher floats, the AWP Chromatic Aberration becomes your best option, with the cheapest Factory New float at around $95.

CS2 Gloves Trade-Ups: A Quick Recap

Getting your head around glove trade-ups in CS2 isn’t too hard, but if you’re still confused, then we’ve put together this table to help you understand what skins give which gloves, as well as the cheapest Covert skin from every group.

Skins Cases Glove Group Cheapest Skin (FN)
AWP Oni Taiji, Five-SeveN Hyper Beast, M4A4 Buzz Kill, SSG 08 Dragonfire Glove Case & Operation Hydra Case 1 SSG 08 Dragonfire ($500)
AK-47 Head Shot, M4A4 Neo-Noir, M4A4 Temukau, MP7 Bloodsport Clutch Case & Revolution Case 2 MP7 Bloodsport ($100)
AWP Chromatic Aberration, Glock-18 Neo-Noir, M4A1-S Printstream, M4A4 In Living Color, USP-S Printstream, USP-S The Traitor Operation Broken Fang Case, Recoil Case, & Snakebite Case 3 AWP Chromatic Aberration ($95)

Because of the increase in price of Covert CS2 skins, any of the above glove trade-ups are going to cost a significant amount of money. In most instances, it will be cheaper to buy the gloves you want, unless you’re on the hunt for a particularly rare pair of gloves. If you’re dead-set on going through with a gloves trade-up contract, you should research the cheapest Covert CS2 skins to find out the best ones to buy first.
