PGL has reached an agreement with the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca to run PGL Cluj-Napoca events through 2029. PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 reaches its conclusion today, after running both this year and last.

In a reel posted on Instagram, Cluj-Napoca mayor Emil Boc confirmed that the city and PGL have come to an agreement that will see Counter-Strike 2 events held there in 2027, 2028, and 2029.
Last year’s PGL Cluj-Napoca event was won by MOUZ, but was skipped by many of the top CS2 teams. This year saw the event grow massively, with only Spirit choosing to skip, immediately raising the prestige of the event.
By securing a partnership that extends PGL and Cluj-Napoca’s time together to a minimum of 5 years, the tournament organizer hopes to make a visit to the Transylvanian city a staple in the Counter-Strike calendar.
