Death, taxes, and Vitality winning Grand Finals. Boring. I’m (mostly) kidding. It’s another trophy for Vitality, following a clean, simple 3:0 win over PARIVISION to win PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026. Vitality, in their apparent mission to become champions of absolutely everything, looked inevitable against Jame‘s young team, who for the first time in a while, looked totally out of their depth.

Any veto coming into this series was always going to favor Vitality. As long as they banned Ancient, which they did, they would be superior to PARIVISION across the board, especially in the best-of-five format.

Overpass was up first. Statistically, it’s PARIVISION’s worst map over the last three months, but you couldn’t tell. They won the first four rounds, at which point the switch flicked for Vitality. They turned it on, with some of the strongest utility usage you’ll see all year. Vitality, on the T-side, were consistently finding utility kills without even seeing the PARIVISION players, and fought their way back to a 7:5 lead at the end of the first half. PARIVISION, frustrated, could not answer back strongly enough in the second half, eventually falling to a 13:10 defeat.

Up next was Dust2. Outside of the now-removed Train, it has statistically been PARIVISION’s best map of late, so any win in this best-of-five made a win here absolutely mandatory. In practice, there is very little to actually discuss. It was a pretty miserable Dust2 for PARIVISION, who were time and time again murdered by multikills from mezii, especially on their T-side. Four rounds were all they could muster in a dismal showing, Vitality taking it 13:4. With Vitality now 2:0 up in the series, we were always hurtling towards an inevitable conclusion.

Despite the previous two maps, PARIVISION still had some life in them yet. An early full ninja defuse from Jame made for a great one for the highlight reel, and the momentum started to roll in their favor.

PARIVISION found 11 rounds, and it looked as though we might need a fourth map for Vitality to get this done. But round by round, Vitality chipped away at PARIVISION’s lead, and things started to get really sketchy. When the Russian team looked as though they’d finally found the ticket to a 12th round, ZywOo delivered an all-time highlight, a 180-degree spray transfer in a 1v2 at 11:7 to keep PARIVISION off match point.

It was this moment, I believe, that completely took the wind out of PARIVISION’s sails. From there, their T-side looked flat, the players deflated from being on the receiving end of the most ridiculous of clutches. How do you even compete? Although PARIVISION would eventually find the one required round for overtime, Vitality were far too activated to let this opportunity slip through their fingers. A 16:13 win, and Vitality were champions of PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026.

For PARIVISION, this is not a loss that should make anyone think less of the team. It’s a learning opportunity for such a young lineup to improve, a tough day at the office against Counter-Strike’s greatest. The event as a whole was still a noble showing for the team, and they can continue building to bigger and better things.

But for Vitality, this is just another championship Sunday. Another trophy to add to the cabinet. They are the best Counter-Strike team of all time – of this I have no doubt. There is simply no end in sight to their dominance, and it’s hard to see who in the current lineup of CS2 teams have the ingredients needed to take them down.
