Free Fortnite skins are a great way to get a bigger locker without throwing around V-Bucks. But they don’t come all that often. We have seen some big free Fortnite skins leaks lately though.
Leakers have identified four different free skins which are coming to the game soon. What’s more, their appearances and how to unlock them have been leaked way ahead of their Chapter 7 release dates.
We normally get free skins in rare specific circumstances. There’s always some for Winterfest, plus free skins for things like a new season launching. Although, in this batch of free Fortnite skins leaks it seems we’re getting a couple more which won’t be accessible to everyone.

This week, Fortnite leakers have had a ton of information about what’s coming up. Following on from the early Fortnite Chapter 7 leaks, we’ve now got a new idea of what’s coming. Including a batch of new free skins. This starts with two free skins that are coming as part of an XP challenge, and then some we’re expecting for winter.
The first of the new free Fortnite skins is Clyde, a Racoon. It’s a bandit looking racoon man. A fun design and it ticks off another animal from Epic’s ongoing series of animal head, human body. At least this one is wearing a full set of clothes!
The Clyde skin is going to be offered as part of a new promotion only for PC and Mobile. In the past, we’ve seen free Fortnite skins locked behind levelling enough on Fortnite Mobile. But next time it’s going to be open to players on PC as well. You need to gain 100,000 XP during the promotion according to the free Fortnite skins leaks.
Just when this will launch is still a mystery. It would be a nice bonus for a lot of players in Chapter 7 though. Maybe something to divert console players onto Epic-ran platforms as the new map launches.
If Clyde is a skin that looks like a shop or BP one, Freediver definitely looks like a free skin. This is the second one coming as part of this promotion. Like Clyde, players are supposedly going to unlock him for gaining 100,000 XP. Although, the exact timing wasn’t part of the free Fortnite skins leaks.
Freediver isn’t as exciting. It’s basically a bodysuit, hood, and mask. We have a lot of Fortnite skins which are kind of like this. But it’s always good at add another design and color scheme.
Next is Cuddle Team Rider. It’s a mash up skin that’s a new version of an iconic Fortnite character. Cuddle Team Leader has been a big part of the game since the first Fortnite seasons. Eventually even being a POI in the Rave Cave. This version will be half Cuddle Team Leader, half motorbike driver, and kind of has a futuristic techno thing going on too.
It’s recognizably still the Cuddle Team leader head in the free Fortnite skins leaks. But as a more robotic version, which also looks like a motorbike rider. The rest of the design matches as well.
This one is going to be coming as part of the Winterfest 2025 event.
The holiday event for Fortnite always has some free skins. Last year it included a Christmas version of Snoop Dogg. This year, it’s going to be Cuddle Team Rider for quests. But we’re expecting a different skin for one of the presents too.
The next of the free Fortnite skins leaks has been Hatsune Miku! This one is part of a separate leak. Some leakers have found information in the game files for a Winterfest Miku. It’s supposed to be one of the presents that players unlock throughout the event.
Each Winterfest there’s a handful of brand-new cosmetics. In more recent events, it has been multiple skins. Including some Fortnite collabs. Hatsune Miku got a Festival skin before and one for the item shop too. But this skin would add an extra version of her in. One themed around the holidays instead.
We’ve already had leaks that another Vocaloid character has been lined up to come to Fortnite. It would make sense for this second skin to come alongside the new Miku.
Those are the free Fortnite skins leaks. We won’t get these in the game for a little while longer. Once the Simpsons Fortnite season ends and Chapter 7 begins, we’ll get a better idea of when these are coming to the game.
