Fortnite is in a big crossover season, but when’s it going to stop? The Star Wars Fortnite season end is coming up soon. As much fun as a Galaxy Far, Far, Away might be, players could be sick of it. The Blasters. The lightsabers. The lack of tournaments, there’s been a lot of changes this season and it might be nice to go back to normal.
Once we get into the next season, be that Season 3 or 4, we’ll have the FNCS back, ammo back, a lot of changes again. Star Wars is fun, but a whole mini season might have overkill. At least if the player numbers and people asking is Fortnite over is anything to go by. If you’re missing the more authentic form of the game, this is when the Star Wars Fortnite season ends and what’s coming next.

Since it was originally unveiled, Fortnite Galactic Battle has had a firm end date. June 7th. Much shorter than most Fortnite seasons. It has officially been Mini Season 1 of Chapter 6, not Season 3. It only runs for a bit over a month. Just long enough to make sure Crew doesn’t cover your entire Battle Pass!
The season will change over in June, meaning we’ve still got a full summer season to come. These are typically more casual focused. Which is strange since we’re coming off a Star Wars collab season with no real weapons, force powers, and flyable spaceships like X-Wings in Fortnite. We’re expecting a more casual season. It’s going to cover the summer event, which is borderline cursed considering how the last few years have gone. But, we’ll at least have proper weapons back.

The season is supposedly based around Superheroes. As a lot of prior Fortnite seasons have been. Expect Mythics of superpowers, a Battle Pass of Superhero skins, and more. Superheroes are already favored in pro Fortnite lobbies, but we probably won’t get block colors this season.
This is a well-worn theme for Fortnite so hopefully this can be a fresh take on that still. We’re coming out of our third heist season, into the yearly Star Wars, and then into a Season with a theme that’s happened nearly every Chapter already.
One thing we can be sure of is the game is going back to normal in other ways. There will be ammo, and probably some standard Shotguns and ARs once again. Along with the FNCS getting closer to the Global Championship with Major 3 locking in our last lot of Trios for the LAN.
There’s a little longer to wait first though. The Star Wars Fortnite season end date has been moved forward though, by a day. Which has meant the Battle Pass cut off now clashes with something else going on in-game.

At the end of Fortnite seasons, the Battle Pass cut off for earning levels is when the game goes down. However, when we have a live event it’s a bit different. Usually, the live event happens, then we get a few hours or even a day or so before the actual end. However, for the Fortnite Star Wars end date, it’s been moved forward to right after the live event.
We’ll see the event which closes out the Star Wars season, a full cinematic story chapter. Then, the game will go offline for down time before we come back up for the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 update. So, while the Star Wars Fortnite season end is June 7th, those last-minute level ups aren’t going to be possible with a live event running instead of the normal game. There are ways to grind XP in Fortnite over the coming days though, if you’ve not quite maxed things out yet.
If you’ve only just joined Fortnite because of the Star Wars season, you don’t have to worry about it disappearing forever. Fortnite does a Star Wars crossover of one size or another every year. Every May, there’s usually Star Wars content to play.

This time, it seems the Star Wars stuff might stick around even longer. It could be coming to Fortnite Creative. This will mean players can make their own maps and experiences using the Star Wars content. With this, they’ll always be more of it to play. The Lego Fortnite Star Wars additions stick around permanently too, so they’re always there.
Recently, Disney has made a sizeable investment in Epic too. This has meant multiple season long adverts for their content like we’ve had this month. It’ll also mean all this Star Wars content is unlikely to be gone forever. Epic’s working on new Disney game modes where features like the AI Darth Vader could return. We don’t know too much about what’s planned with those upcoming modes just yet though. Until then, there’s still time left before the Star Wars Fortnite season end date to explore all these features.
