When is the Ghostface Fortnite skin coming to the game? It’s one of the most exciting collabs we’re expecting for this Fortnitemares. The iconic slasher villain will be joining the item shop very soon. When exactly though? Release dates for Fortnite skins are always a bit mysterious, but we have a decent idea of when everything is going to arrive this Halloween.
The game has divided the Fortnitemares content into a couple of major batches of content. Beginning with the KPop collab we’ve already had. But next is the Fortnitemares update in full. When the game switches Battle Royale to spooky mode and the Halloween items arrive.
The Ghostface Fortnite skin is expected to arrive really soon. This is how it’ll work and when it’s coming:
Ghostface Fortnite Skin Coming Soon
One of the biggest collabs coming for Fortnitemares 2025 is going to be Ghostface! The villain will be appearing as a Fortnite skin. Ghostface is pretty recognizable from the Scream franchise. It’ll be another slasher villain alongside Michael Myers and others. This could be one of the best Fortnite skins for major fans of the horror series.
In terms of other items, we don’t know too much yet. There will likely be an emote and possibly other items. A pickaxe would be the easiest item to fit with the Ghostface Fortnite skin. Since the character does carry a weapon. Glider or other items could be trickier. We might even see items like a music track for the series. The Ghostface Fortnite skin will likely be available on its own, or as a bundle.
The new skin hasn’t been leaked in full yet. It probably won’t be in-game in the files until the update is finished up. Once this update hits though, dataminers will probably leak the appearance of the skin. There isn’t a huge mystery though, the character has quite a clear design! We should get our first look at it soon.
When Will it Release?
When exactly can we expect this collab? It’s going to be part of the second Fortnitemares update. The first added all of the KPop Demon Hunters content. However, the second is getting a bit more Halloween focused. The Fortnitemares event will begin properly with the October 8th update!
After this update, the Ghostface Fortnite skin can come to the shop at any time! We’ll likely see the skin appear in the files and Fortnite leaks once the update hits. But it could come to the shop at any time after that. It’ll likely be in the first few weeks of Fortnitemares, so it has a solid amount of time in the shop. We’re expecting other Fortnite collabs like Scooby Doo to come over the course of the event too. It’ll be a busy few weeks in the game.
While we don’t tend to get exact release dates for skins, once it’s in the files it tends to show up pretty quickly. The game only has so many days to run through the Fortnitemares content, so we can probably expect the Ghostface Fortnite skin to arrive quickly.
