Lately, Switch Fortnite has been displaying a lot of different errors. For a lot of them, it’s tied to connecting to Epic’s Fortnite servers. On one hand, you can wait until pushes out a fix. But there are some steps you can take to try and get back in. These are the steps to run through:

  • Restart Fortnite – First step, often doesn’t do much. But it’s worth a try!
  • Power Cycle your Switch – Restart, then hard power cycle your Switch. This will entirely reset your connection to Fortnite.
  • Clear Cache – Go into your settings, System, Formatting Options, and Clear Cache. This will reset data.

That last step has been able to fix the problem quite frequently lately! When Epic’s servers go down, the game can run into connection issues. They’ll often persist even beyond the server outage. With players not being to connect until they clear their cache. Otherwise, it’s more of a waiting game.
