Fortnite leakers have just confirmed what the next season of Fortnite Festival is going to be! Gorillaz X Fortnite is coming to the game. A Fortnite Gorillaz collab has been one that seemed perfect for Festival since it was first unveiled. Given that they’re a digital band, they’ll fit right in. Along with Hatsune Miku, it always felt like this was more a matter of when than if.

Gorillaz X Fortnite Leaks – Band Finally Comes to Festival

With recent Fortnite updates, dataminers have discovered what’s coming next. Once the Fortnite season ends in Festival, we move on to a new artist. Which means a new pack and featured artist. So far, we’ve had a wide spread of musicians. But Gorillaz X Fortnite will be next. What are we expecting?

Fortnite Gorillaz Leaks

The next season of Fortnite Festival will bring in Gorillaz as the featured artist. As a digital band, they were a natural fit for Fortnite’s metaverse. Over the course of tours, albums, music videos, Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s batch of cartoon characters have become quite popular. They definitely have the depth of a catalogue to include a ton of featured songs. And if just one of Albarn’s projects were to be included, Gorillaz makes a lot more sense than the cheesemaker skin we’d get for a Blur collaboration.

According to leakers, the Fortnite Gorillaz release will include four skins. Two of these are going to be included in the new Fortnite Festival pass. These will be 2D and Noodle. Whereas another 2 will be exclusive to the item shop. This will be Murdoc and Russel. At least as far as leakers like HypeX think.

Splitting between the item shop and the pass will always mean some fans are a little irritated. But featuring bands instead of solo artists presents problems for Festival. This split is probably going to avoid the situation we saw with Metallica, with a ton of skins in the shop and the pass. Gorillaz X Fortnite will be divided up, instead of being a ton of skins in one.

We’ll get more information about what’s coming with the Fortnite Gorillaz collab as we approach the end of the current Festival season. We still need to find out what other items are coming and which songs are coming into the game.
