Fortnite’s latest crossover is with One Punch Man, the manga and anime franchise. There’s already a ton of skins in the game, like Saitama himself. However, a big part of the collab is also going to be the in-game item. This time, it’s the Saitama Medallion in Fortnite.

One-Shot Anything with Fortnite’s New Saitama Medallion

This new Medallion isn’t going to be replacing some of the older ones from the start of the season. These were inexplicably vaulted in the medallions hotfix. While they’re still in tournaments, it seems Epic has other plans for the loot pool in Battle Royale right now. There’s going to be a Jason medallion once Fortnitemares begins. But first we’ve got this overpowered item. The Saitama Medallion in Fortnite. One of the most ridiculous things put in the game.

Just how does the Saitama Medallion in Fortnite work and where can you track it down?

What is the Saitama Medallion in Fortnite?

Whenever Fortnite collabs get in-game items, they’re often a bit overpowered. Especially with the anime collabs. To represent the high-power levels rampant in Shonen anime, we get really strong items. The Saitama Medallion in Fortnite is the latest, which is the closest thing to the past OP crossover items, like the Kamehameha, or the Deku Smash. But it isn’t a big beam effect like those… instead it even powers up your pickaxes.

Looking at the Saitama Medallion in Fortnite, since dataminers first discovered how it’ll work it’s looked like a menace. Once you collect it, you’ll get extra movement speed. But the real benefit is the ability to defeat anything in one-punch. Your pickaxe will destroy each build in one hit. And each opponent. It turns everything into a one shot.

Obviously, this is a massively overpowered weapon. Something that definitely won’t be included in tournament playlists like the upcoming FNCS LAN. It’ll probably be highly disruptive in normal games too. Like the boss transformations we’ve had, it’ll be an item which a ton of the real players in each lobby want to get every game. Which would cause problems in Battle Royale. But thankfully it’s not going to be included in that mode. Instead the Saitama medallion in Fortnite will be giving players an advantage in another mode.

How Can You Track it Down?

Right now, clips from the dataminers are spreading all over the Fortnite community, and players are a bit worried about this over-the-top weapon. But how do you actually track it down?

Unsurprisingly if you’ve been playing since the last Fortnite update, it’s not in Battle Royale. The Saitama Medallion is actually at home in Blitz. This mode is currently where Epic is dumping a ton of the overpowered weapons, so we don’t have to worry about it in Battle Royale just yet. The new Medallion is only for this game mode. These items are less annoying in the ultra-fast Blitz, since players don’t waste so long setting up the game to get beaten by something unfair in the last circle.

Playing against it is obviously a little trickier. You’ll die in one hit. The best advice really is to avoid getting too close. Try to keep distance and fight back a little bit. But generally, the Saitama Medallion in Fortnite is supposed to be overpowered. It’ll only be available until mid-September anyway. Then, things will be back to normal. So, try to have your fun with it now.
