The 2025 Dota season is well underway and what a season we’ve had already. The year kicked off with some of the largest roster shuffles we’ve seen to date. From the rise of the Falcons and the fall of the Gaimin Gladiators to Team Liquid snatching the most important event of all, we can expect even more action in the coming 2025 season. This list of all Dota 2 events is extensive, and as Dota fans, we’re like kids on Christmas so let’s get into it.

With the abolishment of the DPC season experimented in 2024, tournament organizers have free reign to host their own tournaments, resulting in a minimum of 14 S-Tier tournaments scattered throughout the year. That’s a whole lot of Dota and we may even see some new teams starting to compete as others can picks and choose which tournaments to play.
After going straight from TI13 to ESL One Bangkok, players are given an extended break into the new year, as the season officially starts on the 24th of January. Here is a list of all S-Tier Dota 2 events that have already been confirmed.

| BLAST Slam V | 25 Nov – 7 Dec | $1,000,000 | TBA |
The calendar is certainly packed and with the best Dota players attending every tournament, we’ve still got a lot of action left to come. Now that we have confirmation on the dates and location of TI14, I’m hoping we might get another in game event but we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out about that.

Though we have a long list of all Dota 2 events to satisfy cravings for the year, some fans might be a little more selective of which ones to watch. If this is you, I’ll recommend some tournaments you should prioritize.
Though almost all tournaments feature an identical million-dollar prize pool, I suggest looking out for in-stadium events. These tournaments include ESL One Raleigh, Riyadh Masters 2025, and of course, The International 2025. To be honest, I think these events will always be more hype and just have a better vibe and atmosphere. I’m sure winning any Dota tournament is a pretty big deal for the players but winning in front of an audience hits different. Celebrating on a stage with a trophy lift is going to bring so much more joy than just logging off in your bedroom.
In November, we’re also going to get our first look at a BLAST Dota LAN with BLAST Slam IV due to take place in Singapore.
Aside from all Dota 2 events listed above, we can still depend on a few other tournament organizers to run more events. Here are some unconfirmed tournaments that might come to fruition.
Aside from being a co-host of DreamLeague tournaments and the Riyadh Masters, ESL is known to run two in-stadium events per year. ESL One Raleigh 2025 has been confirmed, but we will likely see another tournament held in Asia, probably in the second-half of the year. In 2023 and 2024, this event has taken place after TI around November-December so it’s safe to assume that we can expect the same thing.
At this point in the year, it’s a bit odd that ESL hasn’t added to the list of all Dota 2 events but still, we live in hope.
Tournament organizer FISSURE and bookmaker BetBoom have always worked together to run events, typically taking place in the Eastern European region. A prime example is FISSURE Playground Belgrade, which will kick off the 2025 season.
The two parties are likely planning three other tournaments to run next year, though locations and dates are unconfirmed. Still, these events will most likely feature $1,000,000 in prize pools.
After what we learned at ESL One Bangkok, I really think that competitive Dota is in a great state, as we’ve had six winners in our last seven tournaments. So, we can expect some good competition from all Dota 2 events in 2025 instead of having one team run rampant and win all tournaments.
The list of teams I’m looking forward to seeing include Team Falcons led by ATF, Team Liquid, BetBoom Team, and after their win in Thailand, PARIVISION. However, I believe the Gaimin Gladiators will have a resurgence in the new year, and I hope we’ll see them back in top shape with watson.
