Blast Slam is back with its 4th installation! 10 teams will comepete for a huge chunk fo a $1,000,000 prize pool. The prize pool is broken up into a prize pool and team earnings.
Blast Slam 4 Details
Unlike some other BLAST tournaments that might make use of a qualifier system, the Blast Slam is an invitational tournament. All 10 of the teams will be hand picked by the BLAST and sent to Singapore for the first ever BLAST LAN. Split into 2 groups of 5, the teams will play a best of 1 round robin. The final bracket is going to be single elimination from the get go, with all teams making it into the final bracket.
Seeding will be based on their group placements. The 4th and 5th place teams of each group will go into round 1, 3rd into round 2, 2nd into quarterfinals and 1st place in each group will be floated to the semi finals. All matches up until the Grand Finals will be best of 3, where it will shift to best of 5.
$750,000 of the prize pool will be directly from placements, whereas the remaining $250,000 will be awarded as Team earnings. These earnings are also still tiered by placement.
