In CS2, all Case Hardened skins have different patterns, each for varying levels of blue and yellow across the entire skin. In the years since the release of the Case Hardened skins, the community has dubbed the ones featuring the most blue as Blue Gems. Seems simple, right? Every CS2 Case Hardened skin has a best Blue Gem pattern, which has been decided by the community over the years. In this Blue Gem guide, I’m highlighting all the best patterns for these skins, so you know exactly what each one looks like in the event you’re in the market for one yourself. Beware, though – the best Blue Gem patterns are expensive!
We’ll start with the Blue Gem guide to the best patterns for all CS2 knives. These are the most in-demand and best Blue Gems in the game.

The Karambit Case Hardened Pattern 387 is the rarest Blue Gem pattern in the entire game. In Factory New, prices for this elusive CS2 knife are upward of $2 million(!). A perfect playside makes this the best Karambit Blue Gem pattern by some distance.

The M9 Bayonet Case Hardened Pattern 601 isn’t as fully blue as you might want, but it’s still the best M9 Bayonet Blue Gem. The hints of yellow right at the tip and at the bottom are a bit of a spoiler for this one.

The Butterfly Knife Case Hardened Pattern 182 is once again another Blue Gem knife that isn’t quite perfect. According to the community, this is the best Butterfly Knife Blue Gem, though, so it doesn’t get any better than this. Don’t let the hint of yellow at the bottom ruin it for you.

You can’t go wrong with the Skeleton Knife Case Hardened Pattern 403. This is a pretty underrated knife that often goes under the radar, despite having unique animations and a slick design. The best Skeleton Knife Blue Gem is very expensive, but 403 is the pattern you’re looking for if you think your pockets are big enough.

I’d argue that the Talon Knife Case Hardened Pattern 55 is actually much better looking than its Karambit equivalent, despite the latter’s overhwhelming popularity. This Talon Knife Blue Gem is so blue that it barely even has any of the purple that often spoils these knives. Perfect.

The Bayonet Case Hardened Pattern 555 remains a very strong amount of blue, with just a little yellow right at the tip stopping it from perfection. Regardless, you won’t find a better Bayonet Blue Gem pattern.

I’m not a Flip Knife enjoyer, for the most part. But even I can admit that the Flip Knife Case Hardened Pattern 670 is a thing of beauty. The tiniest bit of yellow won’t spoil the best Flip Knife Blue Gem pattern for me.

The Nomad Knife Case Hardened Pattern 577 is perfect. Not a hint of yellow in sight – the perfect Blue Gem. If only all CS2 knives were like this.

The Stiletto Knife Case Hardened Pattern 182 benefits massively from the shape of the knife itself. Because it’s so long and thin, it doesn’t need to have a massive amount of blue to actually cover everything. This means you have a few great Stiletto Knife Blue Gem pattern options, but the 182 is considered the best.

The near-perfection of the Ursus Knife Case Hardened Pattern 494 isn’t enough to convert me on the Ursus Knife. Sorry – it’s ugly. But if you’re a fan, the best Ursus Knife Blue Gem is the 494.

I can’t help but feel sad about the Huntsman Knife Case Hardened Pattern 618. The amount of blue is great, but the distribution means there’s quite a bit of yellow around the outside, leaving the blue like a blob in the middle. Still, this is the community consensus best Huntsman Knife Blue Gem.

The Survival Knife Case Hardened Pattern 403 is pretty unique in that the only yellow present almost looks like a small worm. It’s cool that the best Survival Knife Blue Gem also has such a fun quirk.

The Kukri Knife Case Hardened Pattern 494 has a single streak of yellow running through the middle, splitting the blue into two sections. Again, this is an example where the best Kukri Knife Blue Gem pattern actually has a unique feature worth highlighting, for better or worse.

Overall, the Paracord Knife goes under the radar for many CS2 players. I’m a big fan, and I’m also pretty high on the Paracord Knife Case Hardened Pattern 403, which is considered to be the best Blue Gem for this knife. Besides the small yellow smear near the bottom, this one’s very good.

The best Bowie Knife Blue Gem is the Pattern 182, which is defined by its near-perfect blue coloring. The yellow tip is all you’ll see during gameplay, with a little more appearing during inspects.

The Falchion Knife Case Hardened Pattern 494 is particularly satisfying because it has all blue on one side, and all yellow on the other. Yin and yang type of stuff. The best Falchion Knife Blue Gem might actually be the most unique of all, thanks to that one factor. I love it.

There’s something that’s just right about even the Gut Knife Case Hardened Pattern 567 being ugly. If it were a perfect Blue Gem, it wouldn’t feel true to the Gut Knife.

Although the Shadow Daggers are pretty small, they still didn’t get lucky enough to get a perfect Blue Gem pattern. Instead, the best you have is the Shadow Daggers Case Hardened Pattern 56. It’s still pretty good, but it’s sad that there’s so much yellow on such a small pair of CS2 knives.

The actual blade of the Navaja Knife Case Hardened Pattern 398 is caked in a perfect blue color, making it the best Blue Gem. There aren’t too many Navaja Knife fans, but this is the Blue Gem you’re looking for if you’re one of them.

Don’t sleep on the Classic Knife Case Hardened Pattern 403. This is a CS2 knife skin that goes under the radar, but by getting the best Classic Knife Blue Gem, it really brings out its highlights.
Although not technically knives, there are a few Case Hardened skins for weapons in CS2, too, so I can’t leave them out. All the weapons have their own best Blue Gem patterns, too!

The AK-47 Case Hardened Pattern 661 is perhaps the most famous Blue Gem in all of CS2. Its perfect blue highlights extend right across the top of the weapon, which is why this has been categorized as the best AK-47 Blue Gem by the Counter-Strike community. The only problem is that if you wanted to buy it StatTrak Factory New, it’ll cost you just a cool $1 million. I’ll let you sit with that.

The Five-SeveN Case Hardened Pattern 278 is almost a perfect blue across the board. This is because the skinned area on the Five-SeveN is so small that the best Blue Gem pattern is able to cover the entire thing. This is a high-roller option for players putting together a blue CS2 loadout.

The MAC-10 Case Hardened Pattern 667 has the largest volume of blue in one place, giving it its status as the best MAC-10 Blue Gem in CS2. You do still have big chunks of yellow on the left and right, but it doesn’t get any better than this.
