Valve has finally confirmed that the CS2 version of Cache is on the way for the first time ever. While the developer has cryptically hinted that we’ll be seeing Cache come to CS2 after it bought the map from creator FMPONE last year, it has never outright stated that it’s coming to the game at any point. Now, after the new CS2 update for Premier Season 4, Valve has explicitly confirmed that players can expect it at some point in the future.
Following the update, NAVI asked the developer on X about why CS2 Cache wasn’t here yet. In a surprisingly outright and transparent response, Valve said, “It’s cooking,” giving players final confirmation to expect the classic Counter-Strike map eventually.
It's cooking.

In a follow-up exchange with streamer Cooper, Valve also claimed that “Of all things, Cache does not deserve to be microwaved,” indicating that they’re happy to take as much time as they need to get it right. It won’t be here until it’s fully cooked and ready. Yes, it’s frustrating, but it’s better to know the CS2 Cache we get will be so much better for it and hopefully, worth the agonizing wait.
