Eight days of action draw to a close on Grand Final Sunday as Team Falcons meet M80 at the BLAST R6 Major in Munich. Team Falcons continued their fine win streak to make it to the Grand Final, having beaten FaZe Clan in the Upper Bracket Final. FaZe then failed to take down the North American side M80 in the Lower Bracket Final in an intense series.
The final stage is set..
Having dominated throughout the Major, Team Falcons are just one day series from claiming a huge victory in R6 Esports. They will need to prepare instead for M80, a side that they’ve never beaten in a series. The two last met in the RE:L0:AD 2025 Group Stage, where M80 took victory in the Bo1, though they only previously played out a full series in 2023, so this Grand Final is very much an unknown entity.
With the Grand Final being a best-of-five, it could be a big moment for the Falcons. Recent results have gone their way, though M80’s run in Munich has also been impressive, having only lost to FaZe clan earlier in the event.

On the line in Munich is the chance for Team Falcons to claim their first S-tier title, having lost out in 2022 and 2023 at the Gamers8 (now Esports World Cup). In fact, the 2025 Esports World Cup was supposed to be their moment, but a shock defeat to Spacestation Gaming early on saw them end in 13th place overall. Now, the Falcons have the perfect chance to put right the wrongs of the past; in theory, they’ll be happier playing M80 over FaZe Clan. However, momentum will be on the side of M80, alongside the crowd.
M80 are in a similar position, having never won an S-tier event; the closest run was in a Gamer8 Grand Final to BDS back in 2023. For them, 2025 has been a strong year since their struggles at the Six Invitational. A sixth-place showing at the North America League Stage 1 saw them end in sixth place, before making huge improvements in Stage 2 to claim a 2-0 victory against Spacestation Gaming in the Grand Final.
Outside of victory in Munich, a spot at the Six Invitational 2026 is also on the line for both M80 and Falcons. However, due to both sides’ Global Rankings, they’ll have a spot secured regardless, as they are first and second in the global points standings, thanks to their guaranteed points from the Munich Major.
Both rosters arrive at the Grand Final with strengths and storylines behind them. Both sides want to claim a first major trophy, but with the Falcons, it feels like their chance to stake a major claim and see out 2025 in style ahead of the Six Invitational. For M80, they have the chance to step up to the top of Rainbow Six Esports, and like Falcons, put themselves into the annals of R6 history. Now, just a Best-of-Five stands in the way of success; the Munich Major is heading to a new home, regardless. But will it be the Falcons or M80 that takes the crown?
