The Six Invitational 2026: South America LCQ Grand Final brings in the final three sides. Black Dragons secured the first Grand Final spot after their victory against Elevate Academy, who will now play in the Lower Bracket Final against Team Liqui,d who took down LOUD in the round before.
With just one spot left from the South America region, it is the final spot at the Six Invitational. All eyes will be on the South American region. Any of the three sides would turn heads if they qualified. Black Dragons have had a dominant run on the back ofAll Qualified Teams For Six Invitational 2026 – Hotspawn a very mixed showing in 2025. Team Liquid are on paper the favourite, but again, they’ve had an inconsistent run in 2025, so this would be a huge chance for them to make up for it. Lastly, Elevate Academy. The only Tier 2 side left, and with the Elevate main roster having already qualified for the Six Invitational 2026, it makes things even more interesting.
The first side to reach the Grand Final, Black Dragons have had a dominant run through the Upper Bracket. Having struggled in the regular season, the side took down Zero Zero Sete (2-0), LOUD (2-1), and finally Elevate Academy (2-0), in the Upper Bracket Final. With every other region, they now get to sit back and watch as the two Lower Bracket sides fight it out for their spot in the Grand Final on the day of the game.
Black Dragons have a mixed record against the two Grand Final potential sides. While they’ve never lost in recent times to Elevate Academy, the record against Team Liquid is not so good. In 2025, the two sides met three times across the South America League, with Team Liquid winning all three meetings. Only one of these was a Best-of-Three; however, but it was a 2-0 win for Team Liquid.
That said, Black Dragons are in the Grand Final, so far, two of the three sides to reach the Grand Final first have walked away as winners of the LCQ. So, no pressure on Black Dragons, but momentum has been a key factor. What has been clear, however, is that early round form has looked to side with the team that played earlier in the day. That’s something Black Dragons will need to be aware of.
Before we preview what Elevate Academy might do in the Lower Bracket and Grand Final, we have to look at the elephant in the room. Elevate’s main roster is heading to Paris, so if Elevate Academy does qualify, the organisation will need to make a decision. Only one roster can play, so they’ll need to transfer the roster to a third-party so that they can both compete. For now, we don’t know what might happen, but if the roster qualifies, we’re sure sense will preveil and they’ll be able to play in some form. Though the Elevate main roster will likely be the main representative of Elevate at the Six Invitational 2026 in Paris.

Onto the actual team’s chances, they’ve had a good run so far, taking down 2GAME Esports, and, crucially, Team Liquid. Now, with Team Liquid being who they’ll play in the Lower Bracket Final, it’s a strong position for Elevate Academy to be in. The series against Team Liquid was a dominant one for Elevate Academy, who won 7-5 and 7-3 in the maps (Chalet and Border). Now, they are two series away from potentially going to Paris. While we don’t know what Elevate will do with the roster if they do make it, for now, the key is making it, and worrying about what comes next after.
It’s been a weird 2025 for Team Liquid. They finished outside the top 10 at the Six Invitational 2026 and had a poor showing at the RE:L0:AD 2025. As a partner programme side, they’ll want to make it to Paris, but they’ve gone about it the hardest way possible. They’ve had ok performances lately, but still way off the type of form that should be sending them to the Six Invitational in February.
The loss to Elevate Academy in the Upper Bracket will be a concern, of course, but if they can get past them, they’ll feel confident about their chances against Black Dragons. Team Liquid’s year hangs in the balance of their showing at the South America LCQ. When consistency is at its most crucial, Team Liquid will need to show up, and the roster has shown already at the LCQ the exact problems they could face. But, they’ve also shown what they can do, so they’ll be the team to watch.
