During the Grand Final of the Rainbow Six Siege Six Invitational 2026 in Paris, Ubisoft showed off the Year 11 plans for Siege. The new year will bring a change in content delivery, types of content, and old modes going away, and it all starts with the reveal of Solid Snake as the game’s next Operator.

The big Year 11 reveal has been teased for a few weeks now by Ubisoft. And while early leaks had suggested the big reveal could well be Solid Snake as an operator, Ubisoft began to tease just that only a few days ago. And while it isn’t the only reveal of the Year 11 Roadmap, it is certainly one of the biggest.
There was a lot announced, revealed, teased, and hinted at both at the event in Paris (You can read our interview), so we’ll highlight it here and then go into more detail in the overall post.
So that’s the footnotes from the news. Let’s take a look at some of that in a little more detail

The big reveal, and the one teased for a few weeks now, is that Solid Snake is joining Siege as an Operator. The new attacker is an “intel-first” Operator, and in our Hands-On, the majority of us played with his classic Tacit.45 Pistol as the main gun (though we suspect this won’t happen in the live game).
Snake will feature the Solition Radar MK. III as his gadget, which will reveal threats in the area. “Focusing” lets you pinpoint the exact location, but it drains the battery much faster. The other player will, of course, know they are being scanned.
The most unique part of his kit, however, is the OSP Pouch. Snake begins with just one grenade-type gadget or a breach charge; however, the bodies of fallen Operators drop a utility pouch, which Snake can take, and select an item to use via a new UI option in-game.
Snake will feature two Primary weapon options, the F2 and the PMR90A2, alongside his secondary option of the Tacit.45 pistol. Snake will be a 1 Health, 3 Speed Operator.
We’ll have a more detailed look at Snake in our hands-on preview, which you can read; however, one last fun fact is that David Hayter will return as the voice of Snake.

Season 1 of Year 11 will follow the update method we saw at the end of Year 10.
Overall, this is going to be the system used for Year 11, with we assume most of these being fully implemented from Season 2.
Year 11 will bring a refresh to Ranked play. Gone is the hidden MMR, the rank you see on your player card, is the rank you are playing at. Placement matches will return for each season, with your previous season rank influencing your rank for the next season.
At the very top of the rankings, new divisions will be added to the Champion division. This will also play into the new Legend Division, which will come in on the third update of the season, bringing the very best of players together in one elite division.
The last thing coming in Ranked 3.0 is that players will get more rewards, with every 10 matches offering rewards. To make it even better, winning matches will accelerate these rewards.
Legend Division will be a new solo-queue only division for the elite of Siege players. You will see your exact ranking in the division. The new division will require the new ShieldGuard Secure Platform to play on PC, and the division will have “active monitoring” of the players in it. This wasn’t specified, but it sounds like matches in this division will be closely watched.

Split into the same four seasons we expect, Year 11 will come with a few major changes:
It was also revealed that Year 11 will bring an end to the reworks of Operators, with Year 12 then having one new Operator per season.
All-in-all, Year 11 is set to maintain the momentum the game had in Year 10 into the next year, while we also got some teases for what to expect from Year 12.
