On the Saturday of the Six Invitational 2026 finals, Ubisoft revealed the location of the Six Invitational 2027, alongside the next two Major locations for 2026. With a culture-driven approach to location selection, the 2026 season of Siege is set for three headline locations.

If you’ve been asking, “Come to Brazil,” then your prayers have been answered, as Ubisoft is looking to deliver once again at an iconic location in 2027. Outside of that, however, we have two Majors that will take place first. In our interview with Maxime Vial and Sebastien Rattor (Esports Director and SR Director Competitive Products, respectively), they mentioned how the culture of a city was important in the choice of which city. Those priorities align with the selection of Salt Lake City in May and Japan in November. While a city was not confirmed just yet for Japan, we expect that news to follow in due time.
First up, let’s get to the big news. The Six Invitational is heading to Brazil, a move that is set to make likely to please fans and teams. The Brazilian fans and rosters are some of the best in the game, so rewarding them for that passion makes a lot of sense. Plus, as we mentioned earlier, the Siege Esports team wants to push the culture of the city they play in, and Brazil will certainly hit those key values.
Interestingly, this is a very recent return for Siege. The Six Invitational 2024 was held in São Paulo, and was won by Brazilian organisation W7M esports, now Fluxo W7M. This will also add Brazil to the multi-event club. Paris has had two, and this will see Brazil join that list. However, none surpass Montreal”, which has hosted six Six Invitationals, a fitting number for the place that hosted the first five. While we have yet to see the Six Invitational head outside of America or Europe so far, we will see a Major head there in 2026.
2026 will feature two Majors. Salt Lake City will host the first, before Japan later in the year. For Japan, this will mark the country’s first time hosting an offline event, which has previously been hosted in Europe and America. Japan doesn’t have a specific city location just yet; however, it will mark a major shift for Siege, and we can imagine the collaboration between Siege culture and Japanese culture will be a match made in heaven.
But before we head to Japan, we will head to the USA and Salt Lake City. Atlanta was the last time we headed to the USA for a Major back in 2023, but the success of the Six Invitational 2025 in Boston has seen Ubisoft bring Siege back to fans in the USA for 2026. The Major gets underway in May, so there is limited time after Six Invitational Paris wraps up for fans to prepare for the next trip, and the USA will go big, as it always does.
From our chat with Siege Esports’ team, Ubisoft indicated that more details will be shared after 2027. And while plans will likely have to wait till Brazil 2027 until we hear what’s next, The team emphasised the importance of local culture, which has us hoping we see some new locations in future.
Siege Esports will expand from the current four regions (North America, South America, EU/MENA, and APAC) to include China (CNL). The new region will launch with a 10-team professional league that will qualify for the Six Invitational, and Majors will follow the same standard rules expected from other leagues. We’ll see the CNL sides on the Global Standings soon, alongside their entrance into the R6 Share Programme in 2026, with their eligibility for the revenue sharing starting from the 2027 esports season.
The news is big for the APAC region, which was already the most split when it came to dividing up teams for qualification, so now that region has another separate league of its own. This could rebalance qualification slots across APAC from sides left in APAC, too. As for the new CNL. Further details on teams and organisations are expected later..
