The Rainbow Six Siege X competitive map pool decides all of the maps which are in use for high-end Siege. The maps get much more limited, it ensures the Rainbow Six Siege X esports are played on the most competitively appropriate maps.
This list of maps is limited, but it is a good indicator of the maps that you want to focus on if you want to improve your skills at Siege.
This list of maps is rarely changed. Although, the Year 10 Season 4 edition of Operation Tenfold Pursuit will bring one new map to the pool. Then there’s another leaving ahead of the Siege Invitational 2026 in Paris. This is everything in the Rainbow Six Siege X competitive map pool:
It’s important to note that the competitive map pool and the ranked map pool are not the same thing. The ranked map pool is much larger, while the Rainbow Six Siege X Competitive Map Pool is much tighter and very rarely changes.
For 2026, the competitive map pool for Rainbow Six Siege X is:
Fortress is the latest map added for 2026, with Skyscrapper being removed as it’s having its own rework.
Fortress, which is getting changes in the Operation Tenfold Pursuit, will see a new modernized look, changes to the structure of the map, it will have fewer hallways alongside bombsite rebalancing. The map will also be added to every other playlist, including Ranked and Siege Cup. The patch is due to release on December 2nd globally, so people and teams will have plenty of time to try out the new patch.
Any esport event not taking place on the Operation Tenfold Pursuit patch will not use Fortress, and will instead remain using Skyscrapper. But for 2026, this change will be fully fleshed out across Rainbow Six Siege X esports.
The first event to happen after the scheduled patch release is the ELEMENT SIX – Playoffs for North America. As a result, this event will likely run on the Season 3 patch. The first chance we have to see the new patch will be either the South America League on December 4th or the Asia Pacific League, which starts on December 11th.
With the Six Invitational starting in February 2026, we know that it will use the patch at the very least, but we’d expect every league to get some sort of major practice on it in a competitive environment before the Six Invitational starts.
Generally, new patches are held back for a few weeks to make sure they are stable, at the very least, new maps and Operators are often disabled by default, as teams will have so little practice on them.
Starting on February 2nd 2026, and running until the 15th. The event will take place in Paris, France, and will see the best Siege X teams from all over the world compete to claim the first title of the year and bookend the 2025 season of esports.
2026 will be the 10th edition of the Six Invitational, and could be another chance for major upsets or for sides to claim a second title. One of those rosters, FaZe Clan, has already qualified alongside M80, Team Falcons, and FURIA.
