M80 claimed a first Rainbow Six Siege Major title after a 3-1 victory over Team Falcons in an epic Best-of-Five Grand Final display. In an epic four-game series, it was M80 Team that came out in the lead. As for Team Falcons, they’ll have to lick their wounds as they close out 2025 in disappointing fashion ahead of the 2026 Siege Invitational.

M80 Lift the BLAST R6 Munich Major After Stunning Grand Final Win

M80 Claim First Rainbow Six Siege Major Title

First blood in the series went to M80, before Team Falcons were able to bring it back to 1-1 and throw the Bo5 into a real series for fans.

While the Falcons were fairly comfortable on the maps they won, when M80 won, it was a tight contest. Round one went 7-8 in their favour, and round three would be a repeat of that. Crucially, however, it threw M80 back into a lead in the series, but this time with a series point to spare. Round four was a much more heart-in-mouth one for M80, with the series on the line, it was the Falcons that took an early lead on the defensive side.

However, with just a 33% win rate for the Falcons on Consulate, the pressure was on, especially given the Falcons were down at the half-time.

Once M80 were in the defending position, they took control, and given the Falcons’ struggles in attack on the map, M80 looked like a team that knew they had the advantage. With nine rounds played, M80 moved onto Championship Point, with Falcons left scratching their heads. Once the Falcons moved to attack, they couldn’t make it work, with M80 able to ride the momentum, and nerves clearly playing a part for the Falcons.

M80, on Championship Point, would lose the first round, giving the Falcons a massive way back into the series. The next round in the series would once again see the Falcons save another match point, immediately causing M80 to call for a tactical timeout. In the final round of normal play, M80 found an early advantage, and they managed to step up, forcing Team Falcons into a 1vs3 to save their Major hopes. M80 held their nerves and took the title, lifting a first Major for the organisation and writing their names into the history books for Rainbow Six Siege Esports.

A Bitter End to 2025 for Team Falcons

It was an end to 2025 to forget for the Falcons.

Having not shown their best at the 2025 Invitational, they would double down on that disappointment at the Esports World Cup 2025, when they were expected to bring home some serious points for the home crowd.

Both sides will now head into the Six Invitational in 2026, with their places both secured. Both teams will be sides to watch, but M80 are the side to make that step up; they are the ones to prove they have what it takes. For the Falcons, it’s back to square one, a chance to prove themselves again in 2026, but another disappointing year.
