The MSC 2025 Group Stage Day 3 delivered one of the most exciting matchups of the tournament so far. Fans were treated to a preview of a potential Grand Finals clash with Team Liquid vs. ONIC, the second match of the day.
Here’s everything that went down on Day 3 of the MSC Group Stage.

The defending champions, SRG.OG faced off against the tournament’s dark horse, Mythic Seal—a team many suspected to be a threat but few expected to defeat the reigning MSC champions with such ease.
In Game 1, SRG.OG dominated the early game with a major kill and gold advantage, especially around all neutral objectives. Mythic Seal couldn’t contest the lord even once as SRG.OG always kept it at bay. Their confidence however backfired. During the final push with the lord, Mythic Seal’s jungler, Kenn, pulled off a spectacular play, eliminating SRG.OG’s members and turning the tides completely. They stormed the base, completing one of the biggest comebacks of the tournament.
Game 2 was even more chaotic, with momentum swinging constantly. SRG.OG held the early lead, but Mythic Seal’s smart itemization and timing kept the game competitive. After more than 20 minutes of intense back-and-forth, Stormie’s Zhu Xin capitalized on a key pick-off, giving SRG.OG the chance they needed to end the game—despite Mythic Seal holding the advantage just moments earlier.
In the deciding Game 3, Mythic Seal proved they were no longer just a “dark horse”—they were real title contenders. The synergy between Kenn and roamer Bo Ye was phenomenal, with both boasting over 90% kill participation. They completely controlled the map, suffocating SRG.OG’s defenses. After securing a massive lead, Mythic Seal became the first team to qualify for the Knockout Stage.
Don’t sleep on the Myanmar region—they’re here to challenge the best MLBB team.
This was the highlight match of the day and maybe even the tournament so far. Every second of this battle between two MLBB giants was top-tier esports action. The spotlight was on their star junglers, KarlTzy and Kairi—a clash fueling the ongoing debate over who truly is the face of MLBB.
In Game 1, Team Liquid gained the early upper hand, applying relentless pressure and slowly choking ONIC out of the map. Their rotations were near-perfect. But ONIC fought back and held on. At the 23-minute mark, Team Liquid secured the enhanced lord, looking to end it—but a series of missteps allowed ONIC to defend and punish. With a decisive pick-off of 3 Liquid players, ONIC stormed the base to steal a comeback win.
Game 2 flipped the script. This time, ONIC dictated the tempo, claiming all key objectives while Team Liquid scrambled to stay in the game. In the final lord fight, ONIC had the upper hand and pushed into the base. But they forgot one key thing, KarlTzy’s signature Lancelot. In a dazzling display, he fended them off single-handedly. Moments later, Oheb landed a perfect Spear of Destruction, taking down SANZ and Kiboy. Team Liquid turned the fight around and completed a comeback of their own.
In the decider, Team Liquid showcased their full potential. They built a 12.6K gold lead by 14:10, nearly a 1K per minute advantage—against the MPL ID Champions. With perfect execution, they closed it out and became the second team to qualify for the Knockouts.

Most fans expected CFU Gaming to dominate, given their superior international experience. That was true in Game 1, but in Game 2, Throwboy turned into a monster on Hayabusa, reminiscent of Ten from ZETA DIVISION in the Wildcard. He ended the game with an incredible 12/0/10 stat line, nearly solo-carrying his team.
Despite Ultra Legends’ impressive showing in Game 2, CFU quickly adapted in Game 3, reverting to their classic snowball strategy and closing it out. They now move on to the last chance round on Day 5, while Ultra Legends become the first team eliminated from MSC 2025.
Surprisingly, Virtus.pro, the Wildcard winners, were the favorites heading into this match. But Game 1 saw Corinthians dominate early with a 9-0 kill lead, leaving Virtus.pro with no room to mount a comeback.
However, in Games 2 and 3, Virtus.pro proved their strength, especially in macro play. They controlled every corner of the map and shut down Corinthians’ game plan. With this win, Virtus.pro moves on to their final chance to qualify, while Corinthians becomes the second team eliminated.
The next day of the MSC 2025 Group Stage kicks off on July 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM GMT+3, featuring all Group B matches. These games will determine the next 2 teams advancing to the Knockouts and the next 2 teams heading home.
Teams that have already secured knockout spots will also have the opportunity to choose their opponents from the winners on Day 5. Stay tuned for more news and updates on MSC 2025.
