The 2025 League of Legends season has been one of the most competitive seasons in recent years. With more international events and regional splits across the world, it’s always important to keep track of the best League of Legends teams at any given moment. Here are HotSpawn’s global power rankings, ranking the teams #10 to #1.

Top 10 League of Legends teams in 2025 – (August Update)

10. Movistar KOI (LEC – Europe)

  • The best jungle support in the league this season
  • Fearless Draft magic with top laner Myrwn
  • Reliable carry in Supa
  • Jojopyun in the groove this year
  • One of the most proactive teams in the LEC

Starting off our list, we have the latest LEC Spring champions, MKOI. The team has had a tough run at MSI but was able to come back with much stronger form at the EWC by forcing T1 to a full Bo3 series. The main shining points of this roster are the Spanish jungle-support duo of Elyoya and Alvaro, who are considered the engine of the roster. Most of the proactive plays go through these two, and if the team is able to get early advantages, it’s usually thanks to them.

9. Karmine Corp (LEC – Europe)

  • Best top laner in the LEC
  • Great carry duo
  • All rounded-jungler
  • Always close to the top but rarely able to be consistent at peak levels

While Karmine Corp didn’t make it in the top two in the last split, I still believe they are the team with the highest ceiling in the LEC this year, mainly for two reasons. The first one is that they have two of the most consistent players of the season, Canna and Caliste, as well as an explosive youngster in Vladi. Even though the latter has struggled in the past months, the potential is still there. Paired with one of the most all-around jungler in Yike and a playmaker like Targamas, the team has what it needs to shine.

8. FlyQuest (LCS – North America)

  • The best NA team
  • Best jungler from the West (Inspired)
  • Great domestic bot lane
  • Innovative drafts with Fearless
  • Big highs but also lower lows

FlyQuest is keeping up the same consistent level of play from last year, proving that well-constructed teams with ambitious players will always get you somewhere far. They were able to destroy G2 at MSI and put up decent performances across the entire month of international competitions. It’s just a pity that the team doesn’t really get much competition in the LTA, which can potentially impact their preparation prior to Worlds. If there is a North American team that has high expectations, it’s FlyQuest.

7. Anyone’s Legend (LPL – China)

  • Poor form recently
  • Still a strong team with a good floor
  • Head coach Tabe makes a huge difference
  • Tarzan-Shanks
  • Potentially affected by the tight schedule

Perhaps the biggest surprise at the start of the year, Anyone’s Legend took the LPL by storm in the first half of the year, with top-finishing positions at both MSI and EWC. That said, the team has recently struggled back in the domestic league with several losses on the board. Despite the potential and ceiling being there, this could be one of the big downfalls of the season if AL doesn’t make it to Worlds on homesoil.

6. Invictus Gaming (LPL – China)

  • The dark horse of the LPL in Split 3
  • Wei’s addition is working well for the team
  • TheShy and Rookie back on form
  • GALA the late game carry

IG has been on a crescendo this whole year. Starting off slow in the first split, IG finished third in the second split and after picking up departing jungler Wei from BiliBili Gaming, the team is clicking more than ever. The Chinese jungler is seemingly working well with the solo laners of TheShy and Rookie, and with GALA acting as the teamfighting carry, IG has enough threats and tools to consistently fight the top dogs. They might not have impressed before, but IG could hit the jackpot by making it to Worlds when it really matters.

5. Top Esports (LPL – China)

  • The domestic champions continue to dominate
  • Reliant on Kanavi and JackeyLove
  • Meta adherent team identity with 369 on weakside and mid-bot carry duos
  • Will it be enough to have them at Worlds?

It’s crazy how Top Esports is among the best League of Legends teams in the world despite finishing fourth at First Stand and missing out on MSI. It goes to show how dominant they usually are in the regular season and a force to be reckoned with domestically. The meta is seemingly favoring them with the return of weakside top laners and the increasing importance of late-game carry potential. JackeyLove is still him and as long as Kanavi doesn’t drag the team with his bits of crazy gameplay, Top Esports is expected to be fighting for the championship.

4. Bilibili Gaming (LPL – China)

  • Shad0w coming in for the BLG honeymoon phase
  • Team looks much more composed after EWC
  • Great teamfighting team, needs to build more composure when challenged
  • The best trio carry in the league (Bin, Knight, and Elk)

BLG is currently the biggest winner in the second half of the 2025 season. After benching Beichuan in the jungle, the Chinese team picked up Italian-Chinese player Shad0w from FPX, finding great success and even taking down Top Esports in their first encounter. From a playstyle perspective, Shad0w fits BLG’s playstyle well and he has been able to raise the team’s ceiling, fulfilling a role similar to Xun’s from 2024. Could this be the big redemption story for the jungle player, who had his first and only Worlds appereances back in 2020 when he played for MAD Lions?

3. Hanwha Life Esports (LCK – Korea)

  • Viper is the main core of the team
  • Zeus still holding strong even though he’s not as dominant
  • Delight the underrated player of the team
  • Peanut and Zeka are more prone to down moments, and the team is heavily reliant on them performing more consistently.

Even though Hanwha Life Esports is still among the top three in the LCK, it doesn’t feel like the team is that close to the other two powerhouses. The ceiling is there, for sure, but it’s just that the team lacks in terms of consistency, especially in the mid-jungle. Peanut and Zeka are more prone to having ups and downs, and can sometimes “disappear” in key moments of the games. If HLE wants to match and have a shot at the LCK and Worlds titles, these two must step up.

2. T1 (LCK – Korea)

  • Close to being the best team in the world
  • The most consistent T1 has been in a while
  • Keria-Oner synery
  • Doran is pulling his own despite the initial concerns
  • Gumayusi is as consistent as ever
  • Faker

Every road leads to him… and them. After everything that happened during the offseason and the incredible split from ZOFGK, T1 was able to bounce back in the last few months and has looked even stronger than they did in previous seasons at this point of the year. Doran has seemingly found what he needed to match the other LCK top laners and is proving to be a worthy replacement for Zeus, and the rest of the team is just showing up in every single series. If they keep this up, T1 at Worlds is probably a guarantee… although winning it once again would probably establish this as the greatest legacy of all LoL Esports, even greater than the one they had with Faker when he first started.

1. Gen.G (LCK – Korea)

  • The best top-mid-ADC trio in the world
  • Has the best player in the world (Chovy)
  • Lane Kingdom team + incredible teamfighting
  • Duro’s continued growth has now made him one of the best supports of the season
  • Canyon is the weaker link of the team… but not that weak

Gen.G stands tall as the best League of Legends team. MSI, EWC, and the best team in the LCK, who else could you have put in first place? With the most consistent carry trio and two of the best jungle-supports in the world, Gen.G is the perfect representation of maxing all aspects of the game. They play controlled early on to avoid volatility and slowly dominate you with stronger lane fundamentals, opening up gaps you can’t recover in the teamfights. With one of the greatest winstreaks in the modern era of League of Legends, Gen.G is the undisputed best League of Legends team in 2025.
