Worlds 2025

The League of Legends World Championships (Worlds 2025) will be heading to China. 17 teams across all regions will face off, fighting for the lion’s share of $5 million.

Worlds 2025 Format

There will be 17 teams playing at Worlds. The first team to qualify will be the winner of MSI 2025, as long as they reach the playoffs in the stage leading to the world championship. An additional slot will be given to the best two regions at MSI, in this case LCK and LPL. Therefore, the teams going to Worlds are as follows:

The top 4 of the LCK (Korea)

• Gen.G (GEN) – #1 seed
• Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) – #2 seed
• KT Rolster (KT) – #3 seed
• T1 (T1) – #4 seed

The Top 4 teams of the LPL

• BiliBili Gaming (BLG) – #1 seed
• Anyone’s Legend (AL) – #2 seed
• Top Esports (TES) – #3 seed
• Invictus Gaming (IG) – #4 seed

Top 3 teams of the LTA (Legends of the Americas) – The top 3 teams from the LTA Regional Championship.

Top 3 teams of the LEC (Europe and MENA) Season Finals

Top 3 teams of the LCP (Asian Pacific)

• CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) – #1 seed

Play-ins and Swiss Stage

The play-ins stage will now only feature the two #4 seeds from the best-performing MSI regions (LPL and LCK). The two teams will play a single Best-of-five series featuring Fearless Draft, with the winner advancing to the main Swiss Stage.

The Swiss Stage will consist of 5 rounds. Teams that achieve 3 wins will go to the Playoff Bracket, whereas teams that amass 3 losses will be eliminated. All qualifying and elimination matches will be Best-of-threes, while the rest of the games will be Best-of-ones.

Final Playoff Bracket

The top eight teams advancing to the Knockout Stage (playoffs) will compete in single-elimination, best-of-five series under the Fearless Draft format. Bracket seeding is determined by Swiss Stage results: the two teams that went 3-0 will be matched against two of the three squads that finished with a 3-2 score record, while the remaining four teams will be paired into the other two matchups.
