Fortnitemares 2025 has just begun! A huge Halloween event. Every year, this is one of the highlights. The Christmas and summer events largely serve to cover a hole in Epic’s schedule, something for players to do while developers are on a break. Fortnitemares though is very active! With new modes, tons of collabs, and massive map changes.

Fortnitemares 2025 Begins in Latest Update

This year, it’s even bigger. It’s came as a two-part update. The first was all the KPop Demon Hunters stuff, like the Horde Rush mode. This second update is bringing in a lot more of that traditional Fortnitemares content though.

We’ve got new updates for Battle Royale, but also other modes like Fortnite Reload. Everything is getting a Halloween make over. It’s our last major update of this Fortnite season, and Chapter. We’ll be moving on to a new map next. So, what’s changes with Fortnitemares 2025?

Everything Coming for Fortnitemares 2025

Reload Gets Halloween Make Over

Fortnite Reload has been around for over a year, but we’re getting a bigger Halloween update this season. It’s getting a brand-new map, Nitemare Island.

The Fortnite Reload maps vary from original collab content to smaller versions of older Fortnite maps. However, this new one is original. It’s focused on a spooky theme. It’s got some similarities to past POIs, but all with a Halloween theme. These are the new POIs on this map:

  • Spooky Suburbs
  • Haunted Hamlet
  • Terror Turrets

The map is quite big in all though, with other smaller POIs like Creepy Cabin. Fortnite Reload is a fast paced and fun mode, so this new Fortnitemares 2025 map will keep it fresh for the next month. It’s the only map available right now, but it’ll likely join the map rotation like normal pretty soon.

Fortnitemares Collabs

One of the most exciting parts of Fortnitemares 2025 is the collabs coming to the game. A ton of these have leaked already. But there’s still some fresh surprises too that Epic kept under wraps until now.

The biggest one might be Doja Cat! She’s coming to the game as a new skin. However, she isn’t part of the Fortnite Festival Pass. Instead, she’s just going to be in the item shop. We’ve got a fairly generic original skin in that pass, but a ton of Doja Cat songs too. She’ll be part of Battle Royale appearing on the map too as the Mother of Thorns. Kind of like how Mephisto had a central role in the last Fortnitemares.

The next of the Fortnite collabs this season is Wednesday Addams! This skin was kept a bigger secret. Leakers didn’t it until very recently! It’s coming with some emotes, one that shows off the iconic dance from the recent Netflix series. This skin will be pretty popular in lobbies over the coming weeks.

Scooby Doo is one of the Fortnitemares 2025 collabs we’ve known about for quite a while now. This is getting some fun designs. The Mystery Gang is all there, as is expected. But it seems Scooby Doo is getting a skin too. In a costume, the dog is standing upright. It might look a little strange, but it means you can duo up as Scooby and Shaggy.

On the scarier side of the Fortnitemares 2025 collabs, we’ve got Jason Vorhees along with Clown the Terrifier. The mem character Huggy Wuggy from poppy Playtime will also be appearing. Along with a Ghostface Fortnite skin. We’re expecting all of these Fortnite collabs over the coming weeks. It’s going to be a packed month for the Fortnite Item Shop.

Battle Royale Changes

Lastly, what’s coming for Fortnitemares as Battle Royale gameplay? We’ve already seen a major change to Battle Royale with the Demon Hunters collab. We had the bugs removed, plus most of Chapter 6 Season 4’s unique features. So, what are we getting instead? Players can find the usual Fortnitemares items for 2025. Like the Witch’s broom and Halloween Candy.

The Chainsaw is also due to return, and we’ll see new characters on the map. The other major change is always that the game turns permanently into night time! Players don’t get any daylight during Fortnitemares 2025. The different lighting helps to make Battle Royale feel quite a bit different for players.

New Fortnitemares Twitch Drops

Alongside those other changes, Fortnitemares 2025 will feature some new Twitch drops. These are special free items you unlock for watching a limited time of a Twitch stream. In this case, any Fortnite stream will work. You’ll need to make sure it’s hooked up to your Epic account to make sure you unlock the new items.

There’s a new Backbling and Pickaxe coming for Fortnitemares 2025. Both are orange and Halloween colored. The pickaxe is a nice scythe, similar to ones we’ve gotten for free in Fortnitemares in the past. It’s always great to unlock a couple new free items though.
