The next live event has had its full details revealed, it’s going to be called Welcome Our Alien Overlords. This will be a full Fortnite Simpsons live event! Something to close out Chapter 6, give players one last event before we bid goodbye to the current Fortnite map and move onto a Simpsons one for a month. With confirmation we’ve also seen the exact live event start time confirmed.
These are all the details we know and how to make sure you don’t miss the Fortnite Simpsons live event at the end of the week:
What time can we expect the Fortnite Simpsons live event? It’s had its complete scheduling revealed, so we now have. A confirmed release time. It’s a little different depending on your time zone, but it is only being ran once. There’s no second viewing for those in time zones where it’s at an odd part of the day.. This is when the Fortnite Simpsons live event is going to happen:

That’s when the Fortnite Simpsons live event will be taking place, but is it going to happen more than once? The event will probably be a one-time thing.
Some events have had encore performances. But this was just for when players got locked out because of a bug with the game itself. Like Fortnite matchmaking bugs, or just the game crashing at a bad time.
Not just for every event. Given the scale of this event too. It’ll probably be a single-time thing. So, make sure you arrive on time if you want to catch the Fortnite Simpsons live event. Players normally try to get into the lobby around 15 minutes ahead of time. Just to help cover any queues or issues getting into the game. Battle Royale typically doesn’t let you play normal matches for this long before anyway.
Logging in is best done a little ahead of this too. If you wait until right before the event, it could be tricky to get into the game on time. The login screen can trap players when a lot of players log in at once. Lately the live events have had enough capacity. But since the Fortnite player counts been so low lately, it might be safe to get there on time! Epic’s servers haven’t been pushed in quite a long time now.

That’s when we’re expecting the new Fortnite Simpsons live event, but its title has also been revealed. It’s going to be called “Welcome, Our Alien Overlords”. We’ve also had an official description given by Epic to get players excited for what’s coming:
“Not even Bart’s treehouse can contain what awaits. Kick back on the couch, grab a donut, and welcome Kang and Kodos on November 1 at 11 AM ET! Don’t change the channel – more of the Simpsons is coming soon.”
The name of the event is an obvious reference to a classic Kent Brockman gag. Upon seeing a broadcast from a space craft where an ant drifts in front of the camera, he assumes it’s a giant alien ant that is about to take over the earth, saying “I for one, welcome our new ant overlords.” Although, adapted since it seems Kang and Kodos the aliens are playing a big role in the Fortnite event! It’ll start with the Treehouse, but we’ll probably see more of Springfield as the event gets going.
The description gives a bit more information too. The event is going to start with Bart’s Treehouse, but we’ll more Simpsons stuff emerge than just the treehouse. There is one detail in there that’s a bit surprising though. The Fortnite Simpsons Live Event won’t be a major one.

The other thing to keep in mind is that Epic’s seemingly confirmed that this will be a mini event. Looking at past Fortnite live events, Chapter enders have been bigger events. But in recent seasons we’ve also seen a lot of Fortnite lore kind of abandoned. So having Chapter 6 end without much closure on the actual story isn’t too shocking. We’ll be leaving the map with this Fortnite Simpsons Live Event. But since it’s Simpsons focused, all that earlier story about Masks and Diego is probably over.
This could mean there’s still a full event in the works though. We might see the Fortnite Chapter 7 release date be when we get a full event. That would be for the crossover between the current mini season, and the next full chapter. For now though, it’s a mini event that’s coming next.
