How to Get the Leadspitter 3000 Fortnite Mythic

The new Fortnite season has a lot of overpowered weapons, it’s kind of going for a meta where everyone has ridiculous loot. While the Wrecker Revolver has been fun, there’s one gun which is being slept on a bit, the Leadspitter 3000 Fortnite item. It’s the new version of a mini-gun, with some big upgrades.

Looking back at Fortnite’s meta the last time we had a minigun in the meta, it didn’t need an upgrade. But it’s had one. With the other overpowered guns already hit by nerfs in a Fortnite hotfix, the Leadspitter 3000 is looking like one of the best weapons in the meta.

How can you track down the Leaderspitter 3000 Fortnite weapon this season? As it’s normal loot, it’s partially RNG. But there is a much better way of tracking it down than just relying on a chest to give it to you at some point.

How to Get the Leadspitter 3000 Fortnite

The new Leadspitter 3000 Fortnite weapon is available in different rarities. For the basic gun, you need to open chests. It’s much more likely to drop out of better chests since it’s a higher tier weapon. But that’s all RNG. Thankfully, there’s a fairly easy way to secure the new mini gun every game, and it’s guaranteed.

The level mechanic has returned in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4. While last season it gave you the boons automatically, this time the rewards are credited differently. As you level up a rift pod drops from the sky. Inside is some high-level loot and a Boon. But get to the highest level, and you’ll unlock the Leadspitter 3000 in mythic rarity.

You do need to rank all the way up to S to get this pod. Then safely open up, which can be a bit hectic in late circles. There are some easy ways to level up quickly though:

• Killing Bugs
• Killing Queen Bugs
• Clearing out Infestations of Bugs
• Eliminations

Out of these, taking out the boss NPCs and bugs are probably the quickest. You can easily get to A just by clearing out a POI then the boss. Plus, you get one of the Chapter 6 Season 4 Medallions for your trouble. This method does get you there a lot quicker than going for kills. Take down enough of these and by the late game with some extra kills, you should get the Mythic Leadspitter 3000 Fortnite.

Although, since the level increases every storm circle… a lot of the endgame survivors will have one too.

Is it Worth Carrying?

That’s how to get the Leadspitter 3000 Fortnite weapon, but why is it worth tracking down? Miniguns always have their uses. Able to demolish builds in record time, damage players inside too since its magazine is bigger than pretty much any other weapon. While the recoil can be annoying, they’re always strong guns. But the Leadspitter 3000 is a bit better than those we’ve had before.

The gun has its strengths of high fire rate. But it’s fantastic for getting through weapons and retreating players. It even kind of locks on with vehicles, with aim assist seemingly kicking in a lot more than normal. The recoil can be very frustrating, but can be evened out if you can use the right sensitivity or Fortnite settings to handle it. The Leadspitter 3000 is one of the best guns in Fortnite and definitely worth picking it as often as possible.
