However, after some problems with cheaters running rampant in events, things got a bit more closed. The game is still open for events like this. Cash Cups are some of the most common events in Fortnite. It’s often where players start, these and the Ranked Cups. The Fortnite Cash Cup is an open tournament though, the requirements to play are actually quite small. To enter, players need to have a tournament eligible account. These are the normal requirements’

• Player Age – You need to be 13 or over.
• Agreeing to Epic’s Terms and Conditions – This is pretty much needed to play at all!
• Enable 2FA – To make sure an account earning money is secure, you need multi-factor set up and working on your account.
• Account Level at 350 – Players need to be at this level for tournaments now. It’s not your seasonal level though! You just need to be at account level 350, which most players are.
• Play in 14 Tournaments – The hardest requirement now introduced.

That last one, play in 14 tournaments, is what makes qualifying for a Fortnite Cash Cup so much harder now. Players need to keep their account in the safe zone of having taken part in 14 tournaments across the last 180 days. At first, this will be a problem. You’ll need to compete in cosmetic and Ranked Cups.

After a season or so of trying with tournaments though, it becomes less of an issue. Players will always be topping up that 14 with newer tournaments once they have access to bigger events. So, it should be simpler to keep your account safe to play in Fortnite Cash Cups.

They also need to have reached Gold in the relevant Fortnite Ranked mode. So, Battle Royale for most, or Reload for those tournaments. This isn’t a particularly high Fortnite Rank though. It won’t take too long.

Qualifying for Round 2

To get into Round 2, players need to make these numbers. At the moment, the running Victory Cup is a Console one. Which will mean a lot of players competing, but probably not too many FNCS winners! That might make things a bit more friendly for beginners.

Players or teams will need to get enough points to make the cut off. Whether that’s performing in the top 600 players or top thousand. There isn’t a secret trick, you need kills, and placement. Essentially, players might be competing for a while before they make round 2. You’ll need a lot of practise, and skills honed from getting better at building and editing in Fortnite. Once you start consistently placing though, the real charge starts, of trying to secure some cash.
