The Fortnite Reload Duos Victory Cups are one of the biggest tournaments happening this season. In Chapter 7 Season 1, we’ve seen the focus shift over to Reload. With an absence of Battle Royale tournaments while the Elite Series gets started. But since pros are already in Reload, there’s some other tournaments here too. The Fortnite Reload Duos Victory Cups are on a much bigger level than past seasons.

This is a popular format for Fortnite tournaments. Since there’s a major Duos event going on in Reload, it’s probably going to be more popular pick as a tournament that players can practise in too. it’s a chance for Duos to get a better feel for competitive reload as the elite Series’ early qualifiers are going on. As a Reload Cup though, it’s got some format differences.

Fortnite Reload Duos Victory Cups Format

The Fortnite Reload Victory Cups are one of a few in this format that are being run this season. This batch are in the Reload game mode, with the respawns and other changes. But the format is quite similar to what we’ve seen in the past.

The Cups are being played in Duos, two players to a team. convenient since the major Reload event this season is also in Duos. Some teams have had to split up and pair with different players for Reload too. Since the Fortnite Esports World Cup event is the finale, teams are being limited by their orgs to players on their rosters, not the normal partner. We’ll likely see them continued in the Reload Victory Cups too.

Round 1 of the Fortnite Reload Duos Victory Cups is more open. Players get a two-hour session where they can play in seven games. They earn points for kills and elims. With the top-ranking players moving forward to round 2.

In the second round, Players can join up to three matches in a single hour session. They get cash for every game won. It’s not a format which means big prizes, but it does count towards the 14-tournament rule. Plus, it’s good practise in tournament level Reload.

Qualifying for Round 2

The exact number of players who move into Round 2 is different depending on the region. This is how it breaks down like this:

• EU and NAC – Top 300
• OCE, Asia, ME, Brazil, NAW – Top 120

To make Round 2, you just need to get to the top of the leaderboard. Be in the top placing squads with the best Fortnite players. It’s more than 100 per region though. So it isn’t a single lobby for Round 2, players are spread across multiple ones.

Who Can Play in the Fortnite Reload Duos Victory Cups?

Like with most Fortnite tournaments, there are a handful of requirements you’ll need to hit if you want to make it into the Cup. Players have to be above level 350 in their Epic Account, that’s separate to this season’s specific level. You also need to meet the other requirements like the 14-tournament rule if you want to compete for cash.

Scoring

The exact scoring for Fortnite Cash Cups can vary, especially when the tournaments are in Reload like this. These are the points on offer in Round 1 for the Reload Duos Victory Cup:

• Victory Royale – 60 Points
• 2nd – 50 Points
• 3rd – 42 Points
• 4th – 36 Points
• 5th – 32 Points
• 6th – 28 Points
• 7th – 24 Points
• 8th – 20 Point
• 9th – 16 Points
• 10th – 12 Points
• 11th – 8 Points
• 12th – 4 Points
• Elims – 2 Points

In Round 2, there isn’t any scoring. Winners get cash. That’s about the only point system that’s necessary, there’s nothing for consistency or second place in the Fortnite Reload Duos Victory Cups.

Prize

Most Fortnite tournaments have a differing prize pool depending on which of the Fortnite regions you’re in. not the case for victory Cup though. Since there’s only a single prize per game, things are simpler.

The prize is $300 per win in Round 2. That’s it, and it’s the same for the different regions. Europe gets the same as OCE or middle East this time.

Reload Esports
