There are various reasons you may want to change language in CS2. You need to be able to navigate the menus quickly and efficiently, and for many players, that will involve changing the default language. Below, you can find out how to change your language settings in Counter-Strike 2.

Change Language in CS2 via Steam

You have to change language in CS2 via Steam, as there is no in-game console command to do it there. Luckily, it’s simple to alter your language settings through Steam.

  • Right-click Counter-Strike on Steam.
  • Head to the Properties tab.

  • Stay on the General tab. This should open by default.
  • At the top, look for the Language drop-down menu.
  • Select your language in CS2.

After you’ve done this, you’ll be ready to play CS2 in another language. Note: this only affects written text – this does not affect the voice lines and audio you’ll hear in-game.
