The number of console commands in CS2 has always been a high point for the game. Players can customize their experience with funny CS2 commands, changing numerous elements of the game in interesting ways. Not all commands are super serious business, though.

Funny CS2 Commands: Troll Your Friends With These Console Commands

Tons of funny CS2 commands have strange effects, but they can be quite well hidden by Valve. Here, you’ll find a compilation of the most interesting, bizarre, and funny console commands CS2 has to offer.

How to use funny CS2 commands

Because these funny CS2 commands fundamentally change the game in different ways, they can’t be used in online matches. That’s due to the fact that they’re sv_cheat protected, which can only be activated in private matches. To use these commands, enter the following into your CS2 console when in a private match:

  • sv_cheats true

With sv_cheats enabled, you can continue entering the rest of the funny CS2 commands and start to troll your friends with strange modifiers.

List of funny CS2 commands

All the funny CS2 commands you could need can be found below.

Spawn Chickens

CS2 Spawn Chicken Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • ent_create chicken

The funny CS2 spawn chicken command does exactly what you might expect. You can use “ent_create chicken” as many times as you want to completely fill every CS2 map with chickens. Just be careful, as it can massively reduce your FPS if you use the spawn chicken CS2 command too much.

Color Chickens

CS2 Color Chicken Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • ent_fire chicken color 250 0 0

So, you’ve spawned some chickens in CS2. What now? It’s time to use the funny CS2 color chickens command: “ent_fire chicken color 250 0 0“. This turns your chicken completely red, although you can play around with some of the numbers to make it fully black, too. Unfortunately, the color chickens CS2 command doesn’t allow for full RGB colors, even if you change the numbers.

Spawn Giant Chickens

CS2 Spawn Giant Chicken Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • ent_fire !picker setscale 10

You’ve spawned chickens, and made them red. Now, it’s time to make them big with the CS2 spawn giant chickens command! Use “ent_fire !picker setscale 10” to scale up all of the chickens on the map. And yes, if you’ve spawned lots of them, this will affect all of them. If you want to spawn giant chickens, this funny CS2 command is easy.

Stop Bomb Spawn

  • mp_give_player_c4 false

Want to completely change the objective of a Counter-Strike round? The CS2 stop bomb spawn command (mp_give_player_c4 false) prevents the bomb from spawning on any T-side player, meaning they now have to eliminate all the CTs to win the round. CTs can still win by running down the clock, which can technically turn the game into a hide-and-seek match. Still, if you want to troll your friends with funny CS2 commands, this is a great place to start.

Plant Bomb Anywhere

  • mp_plant_c4_anywhere true

The CS2 plant bomb anywhere command is hilarious. Using “mp_plant_c4_anywhere true” means that T-side players can simply plant the bomb anywhere on the map, which has tons of uses. You can turn any location into a potential retakes scenario, and if you don’t tell your friends this command is enabled, you can ignite tons of confusion on the server. Of all the funny CS2 commands, this one has maybe the most actual use cases in private matches with friends.

Change Bomb Time

  • mp_c4timer  10

While most funny CS2 commands change the game in interesting ways, this just makes it nigh impossible for CTs to win rounds. Use the CS2 change bomb time command to customize how many seconds it takes for the bomb to explode in-game. While the default is 40, use “mp_c4timer  10” to change it. You can alter that value to the number of seconds you want for the change bomb time CS2 command.

Anyone Can Pick Up the Bomb

  • mp_anyone_can_pickup_c4 true

Enter “mp_anyone_can_pickup_c4 true” to allow CTs to pick up and plant the bomb. And yes, they can still defuse it to win the round, which is why it’s among the best funny CS2 commands. Using this CS2 command in a private match can really up the stakes for T-side players not to drop the bomb.

Bomb Can’t Be Defused

  • mp_c4_cannot_be_defused true

With this funny CS2 command, a bomb plant is an instant win for the T-side. Even if CTs eliminate them, they’re left completely unable to defuse the bomb with “mp_c4_cannot_be_defused true“.

Moon Gravity

  • sv_gravity 300

The CS2 moon gravity command has serious Flying Scoutsman vibes. Use “sv_gravity 300” to make it so that you float into the air whenever you jump. You can adjust the value of the moon gravity CS2 command, too – 300 is just what I recommend for the best results.

Flying Ragdolls

CS2 Flying Ragdolls Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • ragdoll_gravity_scale -1

No list of funny CS2 commands would be complete without flying ragdolls. To achieve this, enter “ragdoll_gravity_scale -1” in the console, and the CS2 flying ragdolls command will be active. Whenever a player dies, their body will float up into space (or up to the ceiling if they’re inside), with inevitably hilarious results.

Bounce on Surfaces

  • sv_bounce 20

Want to turn every wall into a house of bounce? The CS2 bounce on surfaces command fills that desire perfectly. After you enter “sv_bounce 20“, you can jump at every surface to bounce straight off it. Change the value to determine how bouncy everything is!

Slow-Mo

  • host_timescale 0.5

This is perhaps the most useful of all the funny CS2 commands, but for one specific reason. The CS2 slow-mo command (host_timescale 0.5) allows you to turn everything into slow motion, and you can even use a lower value to make everything slower or faster. However, a lot of players use the slow motion CS2 command to take pictures of their skins and CS2 sticker crafts, giving this some actual utility.

Super Speed

  • host_timescale 8

Same command, just much faster. Use “host_timescale 8” for super speed in CS2. It can be pretty hard to actually play like this, but it’s certainly a funny CS2 command to test out.

Full 360-Degree Camera View

CS2 360-Degree View Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • cl_pitchdown 360; cl_pitchup 360

Do you ever feel like your opponent has eyes in the back of their head? No, it’s probably not a CS2 cheater – it’s just the 360-degree camera view CS2 command. If you enter “cl_pitchdown 360; cl_pitchup 360” into the console, you can look in every single direction. It’s incredibly disorienting, but is one of the very funny CS2 commands that can affect your viewmodel.

Character Paint

CS2 Character Paint Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • ent_fire !self color 250 0 0

Much like the chickens, the CS2 character paint command (ent_fire !self color 250 0 0) allows you to turn your character completely red. This is one of the funny CS2 commands that I’m not sure has much real use, but it’s certainly interesting to look at.

Giant Player

CS2 Giant Player Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • ent_fire !self setscale 5

The CS2 giant player command does exactly what you’d imagine. Enter “ent_fire !self setscale 5” into the console to make yourself enormous. It’s not very “sneaky beaky like,” but it’s definitely one of the funniest CS2 commands.

Explode Self

CS2 Explode Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • explode

Why do we need a CS2 explode command? We don’t, really. But it’s cool to have these kinds of funny CS2 commands. Just type “explode” into the console for instant death.

Gears of Counter-Strike (Third-Person)

  • thirdperson

Switching to third-person in CS2 isn’t exactly officially supported, but you can technically do it by entering “thirdperson” in the console. It’s the closing thing you’ll ever get to turning Counter-Strike into Gears of War (sort of).

Copycat Bot

CS2 Copycat Bot Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • bot_mimic 1

The copycat bot might be the most random, funny CS2 command out there. When you have a bot on the server, enter “bot_mimic 1“. From this point forward, the bot will copy everything you do, like a great mime.

Auto-Bunnyhopping

  • sv_autobunnyhopping true

Auto-bunnyhopping is a lot of fun, and regular bunnyhopping is near impossible to do well in CS2. However, with the power of funny CS2 commands, you can enter “sv_autobunnyhopping true” to be able to bunnyhop consistently. Simply hold down your jump key, and your CS2 bunnyhop command will do all the work.

Drop Your Knife

  • mp_drop_knife_enable true

The “mp_drop_knife_enable true” command is one of the most important CS2 knife commands to know. If you want to try out different knives, then this is the CS2 drop knife command to use. With this, you can throw your knife on the floor and pick up another in its place. Sadly, it doesn’t stay in your inventory.

Headshots Only

  • mp_damage_headshot_only true

Some funny CS2 commands can help you get better at the game, including the headshots only command (mp_damage_headshot_only true). With this funny CS2 console command enabled, only headshots will deal damage. While this is good for practice, it’s also good for trolling your friends, as they wonder why their bullets aren’t doing damage.

Quake Viewmodel

CS2 Quake Viewmodel Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • fov_cs_debug 160

There are tons of funny CS2 viewmodel commands, but this might be the best of all. Use “fov_cs_debug 160” for the Quake CS2 viewmodel, inspired by the classic FPS series.

No Spray Spread While Jumping

  • weapon_air_spread_scale 0

Wanting to jumpshot your enemies with the CS2 spray pattern remaining as normal? Then this funny CS2 command has you covered. It’s simple: use “weapon_air_spread_scale 0” and when you jump, the spray pattern will not change. This is even better for hitting crazy one-taps while jumping!

Spawn Hostage

CS2 Spawn Hostage Command (Funny CS2 Commands)

  • ent_create hostage_entity

The CS2 spawn hostage command lets you put a hostage on any map in the game. Unfortunately, this doesn’t quite let you turn Bomb Defusal maps into Hostage Rescue, but it’s an interesting way to create some set dressing. This funny CS2 spawn hostage command is as follows: “ent_create hostage_entity“.
